I know of a taxpayer funded program that will pay for medical bills in certain circumstances. A few girls in my city were hit by a drunk driver and one girl's bill was over 10,000 just for the ambulance ride and stitches alone. Anoher girl had over 100,000 worth in bills. She had 20,000 to cover insurance.

I'll try to look up the name of this foundation but you should mention it.

Hospitol bills are getting more and more riddiculous lately. I had to stay overnight in childrens hospitol boston one time and it cost 10,000 just for the overnight stay.

Phil I am so sorry to here this happen, I know she will get through it alright, medical technology is amazing. My godmother had a stroke and had no medical insurance at all. Here bills were insane amounts of money 100,000 dollars+. With lots of help from nice doctors and hospitals and a few letters, the cost was nominal. People in the medical industry should be more then willing to help out. Once I get some money in my account I'll send some.

                    Thanks again guys.

I just got back from Atlanta. She realy perked up when she saw her kids. And she spoke for the first time. Her youngest daughters name. She is in and out of sleep. But I am pretty sure she hears and understands us. And she tries to talk back. She is whispering stuff its hard to make out. But its cohearant stuff. She is moving her right side some. So thats new. All is looking better.

You are up to $230 on the challenge amount as of this moment. Very generous of all of you.

Well the latest as of late last night was that she was able to communicate enough that she is scared and she is asking about "Stroke". The day before we were fairly certain she was stable enough and cohearant enough that she should be told what happened and explain where she was and why she was the way she was. So we did that. So she knows now as far as we can tell. But she is curious and needs futher explanation. As she cannot completely communicate its almost a one way conversation. But we feared she would be more scared by not knowing. So today she is getting further details of whats going on. My wife returned back up there last night and is still there with Robin and her as she comes around to understanding what has happened to her. I do not know what if anything she remembers. So she has to be brought up to date and understand what she woke up to. She is reportedly able to speak a little more clearly and communicate a bit better today. We are attempting to keep some humor into the disussions with her. She is not able to smile at the jokes but she is indicating they are funny. Hopefully we can get her to smile again soon. Nothing like humor to aid healing. Robert told her the last time she spent a week in bed was on her honeymoon. She indicted that was funny. So we keep getting a bit of good news each day. But its going to take a while to get her back to near normal. But we take what we can get.

Glad to hear she is doing better. Eating is a big deal. After my Dad broke his hip he had some trouble eating and it really turned bad quick. His doctor didn't think he was going to make it. Three days after the feeding tube went in he started eating and hasn't stopped! He fully recovered. So, keep the faith. It happens.

The bebe is doing great. She's a tiny thing (only 14 lbs at 10 months), but the doctor said she is very strong and heathly, just doesn't have much extra fat.

She took her first real steps yesterday! She should be walking soon. She really wants to, bad. She's been trying for three months now! Ever since she could crawl. I'll try to get up some pictures.
