She not only had an ambulance to the local emergency room but then a Medivac helicoper to Atlanta. Helicopter ride was $8500... Then another Ambulance to take here from Atlanta to Greenville. Not seen that last bill yet.

She is supposed to be discharged to home today. And then outpatient thearapy. We are currently getting all the aids in place. Had to build her a few stair rails and get some transfer equipment in place.

Thank you so much Kevin. Very generous donation. And thanks to everybody.

I not had a chance to get back here for a while. Time for an update.

Lisa knows all about this now. She is moved to tears at the expressions of support. She does not know what to think about it. It simply amazes her that perfect strangers would reach out like this. And amazes me too. Every one of you touched her heart is such a way. Thank you for being there for her. She claims she wants everyones email so she can thank them personaly. But its going to be a real pain to do that. I will try. But she has no idea I think how many of them there are!

She continues to impove but very slowly. She recently regained ability to lift her right leg. Still has to walk with a four prong cane and a brace. But she can lift it. However there is not much im provment in her right arm yet. Just last week she could push with it for five seconds. But still cannot lift it unassisted. She goes to therapy three times a week. Bills are horrendous. Mostly this "non allowable charges" nonsense you have to fight. Some of it you win some of it you don't. We raised about $3700 total We spent $200 on installing a round solid oak rail up her stairs so she could climb the stairs to her bedroom. Very nice. We put it in according to ADA specs and over did the support braces. It works very well. And then we bought some special equipment rather than rent it. And then put the rest twords her out of pocket medical bills. Emory was 80 grand, Helicopter was 8grand and some change, ER at local was three grand, Now there is Doctors we never knew existed and all the stay in Roger C Peace rehab and out patient rehab. Her out of pocket for the year was supposed to be 10 grand but grows somewhat with these non allowable charges. But progress is being made. Thanks to you guys some of the burden was lifted.

I will try and get back every once in a while and update you guys.
