    A car for a Teenager

Well i've been saving for the last few months and I am probably going to buy a car this summer.

I want something on the smaller side and cheap. Preferably something I can tinker on. The cars I have been considering are the following:

    Mazda miata
    Ford Contour 6 cyl
    Ford Taurus SHO
    BMW 325 Ci or Cic
    Acura Integra or RSX

I want something that I can get for around 3 or 4 thousand. I like gas mileage cause I'm poor and I dont want something that is gona get high insurance either like a mustang. I would prefer a car with at least four seats but I'l settle for something less especially if its a convertable. I am fond of coupes but thats not a big factor.

Let me hear what you think
    rt pro w/ lvlx etc.
    custom milled out y frame
    empire barrel kit
    ult
    custom 15 degree
    custom milled rail
    cut ule body
    steel hose with QD's
    custom welded drop
    90/45 nitro duck x-stream
halo tsa w/ custom paint job
    soon to get warp

custom palmer microrock front grip for future trigger for ^

Those are great cars. I know some people who have them, and they're great

My first car was a Toyota Corolla GT (I think an 86). Did what it needed for a year or so and then I bought a vehicle more to my liking since I was making a much nicer income.

While finding a car you can tinker w/ is fun... look more for quality. Something for 3-4 grand is probably going to have high mileage so get something that is built well for that like a Honda or a Toyota.

lol hond and toyota are like the AO fetish cars, yuuuuck.

This is what youve been looking for:

                  Jetta Turbo Diesel (TD)

Ive seen a few for around 5k, they get up to 55 mpg and theyre still quick and look sharp. Engines last well past 200k (into the 500k's if you take care of them), very good investment.

Throw some propane and nos into those and they are hella quick.

I like miadas too just because they are so light and ive always wanted to put an old muscle engine in one lol. but everybody i know that has one is literally gay, so if you get one ur gunna haveto guy it up a little.

Cheap insurance on the jetta too, i think thats the way to go man.

those Ford Taurus SHO can be lots of fun ... until you start getting problems with the engine and see the price to fix it.

I will second the vote for the Diesel VWs. I have an 87 model with the 1.6 n/a diesel its got 315000kms on the clock and still running strong. Mine aint turboed so shes very slow but it gets me from point a-b as CHEAP as possible. I average 45mpg city with it and even better on the higway. I bought the car around 4-5months ago for under $1000CDN and have not put any money into it other than a battery and valve cover gasket oh and a two oil changes.

But the real fun comes from the 1.9 Turbo Diesels in the 1990 and newer VW Golfs and Jettas. my brother has a 2003 that is slightly moded and the thing simply FLIES. He has a chip in it a exhuast and intake and a few HOME GROWN mods. The car is QUICK and even better has gotten a BEST of 60mpg on the highway. Its a FUN car to drive and is surprizingly comfortable.

No dout that a Diesel VW is the BEST chioce for a GREAT car no matter on age and experiance.

u have to keep insure in mind though.

my truck is under my dads name cause he now uses a company truck... so im paying less than 100 bux a month, its great.

so just lie and put the vehicle in your parents name

toyota camry's or corollas are great cars. I'm driving a beater 86.5 supra and paying only $100 a month, but its on my families policy. So yeah, definately put the car on your parents policy to save some cash, and please don't go euro if you don't want to spend money. Just find yourself a nice extremely reliable japanese car, anything toyota or honda is a pretty safe bet.
