i know theres other factors to performance like cpu memory is a big one, and i knwo AMD's are superior AND cheaper, but what your telling me is something that is running at 2.2 Ghz of a certain brand is faster than something running 2.2Ghz of another brand? Even if pentiums say they run 2.5 but run 2.2 and amd's say they run 2.0 but run 2.2... aghhh...

I mean, if its running 2.2 its running 2.2 right? anyway maby ill just kill myself now, but im seriously sort of curious as to the details on this topic. perhaps another thread..

Nope. mHz/gHz does not determine the overall processor speed. It does give you a ballpark idea but there are other factors in the processor design..

ya, general performance equals - clock speed x IPC
( IPC = Instructions calculated per clock cycle )
AMD's have a higher IPC then Intel's, so it can do the same amount of work with less clock cycles.

did anyone read the article about the 360's GPU? I am beginning to like the hardware more and more on the 360.....

I really like the 360's design as it is. I'll probably pick one up when the price comes down.

And on a side note, the Nintendo's feature wich enables players to have access to the companies backlist catalogue of games is awesome. Especially since they have almost 20 years worth of games.

Nintendo's back catalogue thing is cool, but unless they make the games just really cheap it won't do much good. Plus I don't think it has a harddrive, and while I don't know how much space the games will take up, I think I will run out of space.

As to the Revolution's touch screen controller- I am almost positive that Nintendo released something that said the controller will not have a screen on it. However, it could have something similar to a laptop touchpad thing.

And I would bank on gyroscopes too, which could be good or could be bad- the DS's touch screen is pretty much worthless, except maybe for Nintendogs, which isn't really anything to write home about.

I just hope Nintendo pulls something actually revolutionary out of their big ole butts before the expo is over with. I don't wanna just wait until something happens, I wanna see it tomorrow!

On a side note, I think it would be cool to do some Starcraft or Command & Conquer on the DS's touchpad. That would be sweet,

The new GameBoy WarioWare game supports something like this built into the cart (a tilt sensor), and I guess it would be neat if it was in the controllers too (so long as you could turn it off, I had the MS Sidewinder with a tilt sensor and it was a pain to use), but if that is there revolutionary innovation, then it's pretty crap.
