This is seriously a huge money maker and depending on how many yards you get, you can spend just a few hours each morning and then have the rest of the day to have fun. I don't know what the going rate for grass cutting is these days, but I would make $10-$50 a yard, I had on average 10 yards that I cut per week.
Agreed. I used to do it with cleanup, edging, and disposal of said grass for $15.
Sometimes they tip you, but dont expect it.
Its amazing how many yards you can smack in a day, let alone a week.

There's two ways to look at it...

I did the whole landscaping business venture throughout HS and did pretty well. Still do some of it to this day. It made me great money and I learned a lot about responsibility and taking care of my customers.

However, I think everyone should at least work one job when they're young where they have a boss, co-workers and such. It really helps you realize some aspects of what it will most likely be like when you become a young adult and have to go out and find a steady job to pay the bills.

Landscaping or building computers or whatnot is a great way to make a decent amount of money when you're young, but if you think about trying to make a house and car payment along with insurance, it will be a daunting task. That's why you'll probably find yourself working for a company when you're on your own, so getting some experience in working for a company of any sort helps you learn the aspects you'll have to deal with beyond just doing the job.

Definately extra lube. I keep two bottles at all times. Can't leave home w/o your lubricant.
