      That's a good song too.

I also like "That Smell", "Gimme' back my bullets", "The Ballad Of Curtis Loew", "Give Me Three Steps"....

oh hell, I like most all Skynyrd songs.

I saw them in concert last year and wasn't impressed. The current makeup of the band just doesn't cut it.

I agree with that. I have seen Skynyrd about a half dozon times or so. But they have lost something over the years. I mean Billy Powell and Gary Rossington are the only originals. They have tried to make up for it with some good 'ol southern rock icons, but it's not the same. To be honest, I think it's about time they quit touring as Skynyrd.

The same for the Who. Once 50% of the band is gone, I don't think you are any longer the same band.

Umm, how did they get burned by Neil? You do realize that Neil Young and Ronnie VanZant were friends right? You also realize that Neil has done many live Skynyrd covers over the years right?

Also, you listed one of the worse (but most popular) Allman Brothers songs...so my guess is you are not much of a fan either.

Oh, and you concider AC/DC and Zeppelin bad music? They might be popular, but their of them are bad.

wow...i always thought that neil young sucked extremely bad. i find absolutely no entertainment value in any of his work. isn't it great to be able to have opinions?

you realize that there was an enormous controversy over the southern man/sweet home alabama lyric exchange correct? now, could i possibly have been referring to that?

"melissa" is a great song, one of my all time favorites... maby you just didnt like Eat A Peach (ABB tribute to Duane Allman)...?

i dont understand that last sentence. or the last half of the second one while we're at it...

by sucked i mean i dont like fyi, not that i could trump them in a banjo duel.

exception: i genuinely believe AC/DC just got lucky on about every front of their popularity.

Look at my name, there is very few music related "trivia" ya can toss at me that I do not know. Especially when it comes to classic rock, blues and jazz. So yes, I know about the "controversy" but I'll ask it again, how did anyone get burned, especially when they were friends?

That remake is like whiny. I personally dont like it, as soon as it came on the radio once my dad started mocking it or whatever. Personally i hate remakes, all the remakes that ive heard really really sucked.

That stupid mariah carey Candy that cameo did, it sucked.

Korn and the wall...... dont get me started.

Shinedown and simple man, well youve heard my 2 cents

The only good remakes that i can recall is the pink floyd tribute band but they didnt remake it, they just did it.

Then there are some covers that are better than the original.

Jimi Hendrix's "All along the watch tower"

Eric Clapton (Cream) "Crossroads" (Can't really say it is better than the original (or the many other covers of this song), but Cream's version had a lot more energy.)

There are many more, those were just the first two to pop into my head.

Metallica's cover of Bob Seger's "Turn the Page" was pretty damn good IMO
