Metallica's cover of Bob Seger's "Turn the Page" was pretty damn good IMO

I like both versions. I also enjoy listening to Aerosmith's rendition of "Come Together", although I like the Beatles version too.

I think GNR's version of both 'Live and Let Die', and 'Knockin' on Heavens Door' are better than the originals too....but for the record I think Shinedown blow, as well as their cover. I mean, what current band is going to out southern rock the original Skinnard lineup? You might as well not even try.

I've also never heard a good cover of a classic Stones song, but I've heard Britney Spears butcher 'Satisfaction' beyond all recognition.

Look at my name, there is very few music related "trivia" ya can toss at me that I do not know. Especially when it comes to classic rock, blues and jazz. So yes, I know about the "controversy" but I'll ask it again, how did anyone get burned, especially when they were friends?
