Well, like I said, after I first installed the patch it worked fine, but after a day it started giving me this problem. And I have both the Same Mod and Same Version boxes checked in the server selection screen. I tried reinstalling the patch just a short while ago and it's still doing the same old crap. And all the servers I've tried are non-SF servers. Anyone else have any ideas short of a complete un/re-install?

you guys really should get this to hook up with buddies when their playing. Its like AIM/MSN messenger for gamers. It tells you if they are online playing, what game they are playing and what server they are. You can click right on it and hit join game.

to add someone to your buddy list you need to invite them, and they need to accept.

Yeah, I ended up doin a complete un/re-install. Got SF too, and I hate the night maps, the nvg sucks. Tear gas is cool, but the flashbangs suck. I think they should be a little more like the battleshock, only more blinding, and I don't think it should really effect the person that throws it because he should be ready for it. New weapons cool though. I got 2 new unlocks, went ahead and unlocked the new Spec Ops, pretty sweet, haven't decided on a second. Thinking about either the Engineers MP7 or the Supply PKM.

Did anyone have trouble iwth the v1.12 patch? My BF2 worked last time I played it in September then after DLing the new latest patch, it quit! At first told me my cd key was not good and then just quit all together. I wiped the game and reloaded it along with my drivers and now it is working again, but I had no patches loaded. I'm DLing the v1.12 patch again right now, hopefully it does not go kaput again.

install them in that order, should solve you problems.

So SF gives you three unlocks right away. You can unlock some of the SF weapons for use in the normal BF2 game, they are a 2nd unlock for the classes.

Ok, I was trying to just install 1.12, I thought it was a total patch and not incremental. That was the only patch I saw when I looked at the web site. I will ahve to take a closer look.

install them in that order, should solve you problems.

1.03 incorporates 1.01 and 1.02. But i do not know if 1.12 includes 1.03.

so just do 1.03 and then 1.12

I ran 1.02 and 1.03 and 1.12 and all is well now :) Maybe I will pick up SF now!

If you install SF, remember to apply the 1.12 patch after.
