That was posted on PBN a couple of weeks ago. Right when I watched it, I knew it wasn't a .50, or even a larger cal (even though I've never seen a .50 cal fire, except on Ghost Recon ). Then after watching it a few times I noticed they weren't even humans...

I beleive acording to the Geneva convention to use .50 caliber or larger rounds on humans is a war crime.

True, but there are loopholes. A sniper with a Barret/Armalite 50cal is allowed to fire on human targets only if they hit some type of equipment the soldier is wearing such as a radio. The farthest sniper shot recorded in history was fired from a Canadian sniper's Armalite 50cal at 2 miles. That's just something I heard and read about in a couple places so the distance may be off. But the rifle was an Armalite 50cal and it was a Canadian. He shot the Afghani's canteen. I don't see what the problem is anyways though, you're shooting to kill the person. You shouldn't have to use any damn loophole.

Doesn't matter. I've heard of SEAL teams and other special forces units using them in combat against troops.

Technicalities are just technicalities. As of now, we aren't at war with any country or army. Becuase the soldiers we are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as in the philipines (I bet you didnt hear about the big war against terror in the philipines, did you?) are NOT uniformed soldiers, but are actually terrorists, out of uniform and represent no recognized nation in teh geneva convention, they are not covered under the geneva convention.

As far as I'm concerned, the guys we're fighitng are not human, and have no rights whatsoever.

I like that quote, but yes its a War why should any rules apply during a war. In my opinion should we the U.S. rebuild iraq and spend millions doing it, possibly billions OR should we take the oil fields save money and help rebuild our own soil, Louisiana.

vs. a slow, painful death due to a 9mm or a tumbler? although i do understand the chance for medical attention at that point.

The Finnish alpine troops were hardcore. Talk about using the terrain to the fullest. They would thin out an approaching army with hit and run/ski so bad there wasn't much left to try and take the cities.
