As some one once said. Common sence and the law are two different things. I also just got my licences and ive been driving my bro alot and i can understand why they wont let you drive any one else. I find it is really distracting driving with other people even my parents but i think you should be able to drive others. -

thats the thing though. i know if i drive my friend to the paintball field and home, he wont be a distraction. if i drive my friend home from school, he wont be a distraction. if i pick 4 or 5 of my friends to drive somewhere, i know they likely will talk to each other and be loud and WILL be a distraction. so i wouldnt do that. i dont need this law to tell me what will and what wont distract me. ironically though, i know (from experience) that driving with my mother WILL distract me. it has before, many times. if i had an annoying little sibling (which i dont, but lets say i did) that very well could distract me. but both of those are perfectly legal with this law.
on a somewhat related note, Jaan i have something i know you'll love. about 5 minutes ago i was talking to my friend who lives in New York, and she said that a few kids got into a fight at the mall and now the town have a curfew, where anyone under 18 out after 4 pm has to have a parent or guardian with them. what i find ironic about this is that the vast majority of people under 18 will not be doing anything wrong. however, about half of them (me included if i lived there) would realize the law is BS and disobey it, if they needed to be out for any reason. meanwhile, ALL of the small ammount of teens that actually do anything wrong, will ignore the law. so the law is essentially punishing anyone not doing anything wrong. then, the police will take the 6 year old girl out looking for her puppy down to the station, or take the teen who is late getting back home, or just out for any reason down to the station... and then all the other teens will be left unattended to get into fights. if there is any REASON for the teenagers to not be out, that they should be home, the cops should be able to find something else to get them for. if the person is in a fight, THAT is a reason to drag him down to the station. not that he is "out past curfew" at 4:30 in the afternoon.

4pm??? Jesh, that right there is the best argument for regular drug testing of politicians and police. I mean really, have you ever wondered why the police union is so vehemently opposed to drug testing? LOL
When I was a kid, in fact until the day I got my license, I rode my bike around every day, often until past dark even in the summer. Now, these guys are telling kids that they have to stay home and park thier butts in front of a TV from 4pm until bed time? No wonder kids are fat these days.
You know, I remember when they passed the helmet law in Mass for kids. We didn't have that when I was growing up and I rode my bike to school all the time. My old elementary school is right up the street from me and I pass it daily. You used to see rows and rows of bikes at that school, then they passed the helmet law and then maybe half the kids stopped riding to school ... and about two weeks later the principal told them that if any kid rode his bike to school without a helmet then they would get into trouble. That was it, almost nobody rode to school anymore. Now they don't even have bike racks, just a loooooong line of Moms in SUV's lined up to pick up thier fat kids.Comment

Hey im not fat. Just went to the doctor and said i was 70th for hieght and 35th for weight which means im tall and skinny
. any way the helmet law is crap. I never wear one and neither do the kids who ride there bikes to our school which there is alot and the police never say anything.
