none of my jobs have actually been crappy. it's the people who make my job crappy. i've worked in retail for most of my experience. i left sam's club because of too much heavy lifting. i worked at old navy which was fun but i took a major pay hit and they didn't give me many hours. none at all for a few weeks during the dead part of the summer.
left target because i was unappreciated and taken advantage of. they had me working electronics and entertainment by myself during holiday season. idiots. combine the locked cabinets, the register, and the fact that electronics questions are more complicated than those in other departments and it's impossible for me to man that area myself and get everything done. i always had a crowd around the register waiting for me. luckily most of my customers saw how harried i was and were very patient.
had a temp job doing data entry for about a month. that was ok. temping is rough when you're looking for a short term assignment just for the summer like i was though. everyone seems to want to hire temps on a permanent basis. after that got a job working at an insurance company in desktop support. paid extremely well. twice as much as other internships. personally upgraded a couple hundred computers from NT 4.0 to XP Pro (the project was about 1500). they got outsourced so i wasn't able to return to them this year.
so now i'm back in retail. i work at Victoria's Secret. it sucks. ... no. wait. it's totally AWESOME! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
