college admission essay. what was your topic?

I ignored the topic and wrote about space aliens. Well actually... I wrote an essay about how I didn't like the proposed topic, gave examples of what I thought were better questions... and explained that writing about how I didn't like the topic fulfilled the essay requirements. Then I wrote about space aliens who decided not to enslave the human race because they were too stupid to be useful.

barjack: i'v kinda been thinking about paintball, and thats actually a really good topic you mentioned.
its pathetic that paintball pops into my head before other things, and then blocks the other things from coming into my head.

the opening line was "i shoot people for sport"

In the end it was about paintbal misrepresentation in the media. It worked though, I got into all of my reach schools

heh mine was "im a hacker."

but went on to explain what a real "hacker" is.

Im in the start of my junior year, but when i do write an admissions essay, it will most likely be about extracurricular things ive done, like battlebots or an engineering course at WPI. and im trying to take an independent study in CNC machines . actually when i went to WPI over the summer i got to read admissions essays from past applicants and decide if i thought they should be accepted or rejected. i got one from some football freak which essentially was what chelsea said, "i play sports! sports have helped me turn my life around! ive learned dedication and teamwork! go team!"

For the free response/tell us about yourself essay, I wrote about LEGO's and my sister wrote about a daydream she had in a tree. Write whatever comes easiest to you, but make sure you write it well. It's good that you're at least thinking about it now. I didn't complete my essay or common app until the day they were due, which caused lots of stress. Don't be like me!

as soon as i graduate im going to school for message therapy, its like 1500 bux, and its only a 6 month class and then you get your license... woop woop!
