My parents dont really care, if my grades slip they will say something about it but they know i will eventually pull them up, i dont study or do much homework generally just what i get done in class and when it comes to test time i just hope for the best..generally it works out.
Kinda like the two test i have tommorow i dont even know what there on...not the best way to do things but it seems to work.

And your parents are dumb enough to fall for that?

maybe i should have worded it better. i mean like, when i do actually get bad grades, i will pull off the whole "well i turned in all this make up work, and the teacher never averaged it in yet. so give it a few weeks and it will be better"

when i actually use those few weeks to try and pull my grade up. something along those lines

            Eh...

Seems to me that school is just boring. I am in all University Courses, and I finish the classes work in 30 minutes rather than the 74 minute periods we have, so I just get to sit there. So then I ask for extra work from the teacher, I get it, do it, hand it in and then I ask again, and it's not like I'm half uh, "butting" everything I get A's on pretty well everything I do. This goes for every class I have this semester, Math-English-History and a business course.

Meanwhile, I get all my homework we have done either in class, or at lunch so I never have homework..So I always get an "excellent" rating on my report card for homework completion...

And then my teachers ask every time I do the extra work "don't you have homework for other classes?" and of course I don't, because I'm done....

But then, even if I study a week prior to the test, I always only finish the test at like, a 75-85%. It's just really weird. Any suggestions?

my parents would probably just say "have fun flippin burgers"

back when I was in highschool they were a little more concerned though.

I would agree, you are rushing through homework (based only on what you said) to get it done, rather than understand the material. Take your time, make sure you understand why you are getting the answers you are getting, and make sure you clear up anything you do not understand. There is a major difference between getting the right answer and understanding how you got it. You would learn more getting the wrong answer, but understanding how you got there, than getting the the right answer by luck.

Take your time doing your homework and understand what you are doing and why. Don't rush through each problem. Take it slow and think every step out.

This is kind of on the topic of homework: I find that the best way to learn from homework is to be cocky and arrogant. By doing this, it makes it easier to remember your mistakes and the correct way to do a problem. Just dont let it happen on tests to the point where you don't check your work...

As long as my parents know I am trying my hardest to get that grade they are fine with it. It is when I start slacking off and not doing assignments when they get mad, but that usually isn't too big of a problem because I am generally a good student.

Nothing really ever happened to me for getting bad grades. I never really got terrible grades though. The lowest I ever got was a C, and my mom said "blah blah, start doing your homework and you will do better, blah blah blah." I never got the belt.

I wish I could say you did, that would mean I had the chance :P

I just have all my core classes and journalism, the only time I get onto the computers at school is for typing articles for the paper or to take reading assessment tests.
