I get home, log on to the computer, and my spyware and anti virus are going nuts with alerts. I go into the history to see where the poor thing had been and WHAMMO!!!

Turns out that my 13 year old daughter took it upon herself to go and visit many SUPER nasty adult sites yesterday.

I am so ...just ....speechless. Pissed. Hurt. Hell I don't even know what I am at this point. I am not talking about your average run of the mill sites either, I am talking about serious dirty low down nasty stuff.

I realize there is a natural curiosity about such things but damn!!!!

Anyone know of any good porn blocking programs that won't interfere with the ability to surf normal sites?

Really? :/ I don't know if I'd go that far... it was YOUR daughter actually bothering to look at these sites, so if you think anybody deserves getting in any real trouble, I don't think it should be the boy.

I would talk to her about it. Agreed...curiosity is natural, but this SOUNDS maybe a little more than curiosity. Maybe have the wife talk to her. I'm guessing she'd be more accpeting to another woman talking to her rather than her dad.

Punishment wont work to get her to stop, and passwords are generally overrated especially if shes talking to some jerkoff about it...it will either pull her closer to him ina bad way, or she'll just get around it. its that forbidden fruit...we ALL want it more than what we can have.

As ashamed as I am to say...I wasnt always the great kid I am now. I am currently 17, but a few years back, I was a pretty messed up little guy. And my dad found out. I got grounded, that didnt really stop me, I didnt care, so its obvious that punishment doesnt work. But the program did. I think its called Cybersitter or something like that. It took me a while to figure out how to hack it, but it was very difficult, and something I doubt the average 13 year old girl could do. And after I hacked it, I felt pretty bad, and I have been clean ever since...of course, now I look at paintball stuff. Everyother guy has posters of hot girls all over their walls, I have all the latest pb gear and teams.

an interesting view though, this can be seen two ways (actually discussed in a recent debate at school on porn) :

bad: they rather not talk to you (obviously natural)

good: she isnt going out and experimenting (yea, discusting but it happends)


i dont know how you would consider her "overly curious" if she never even HEARD of porn in the first place. social "morals" are taught by society and family, not something -atleast i personally see- as being given at birth.

so honestly, she wouldnt know one think from another. think about it, some of that "really nasty" stuff is probably perfectly acceptable in some other nation, so i wouldnt mad, nor dissapointed in her.
