HELP! what can i do to reduce a fever

ok, im olny 15. both my rents are gone. i have never felt this misreable in my life.. i have been running a temp of 103-104 and i cant take it any more. already tryed a cold bath. sorta helped. i tryed all pain killers that say they reduce fevers. but there idiots. and i need to find a better way.. thanks guys

Aspriin lowers a fever, not pain killers.

If you've been truly running 103-104 for an extended amount of time, it's time to check yourself into a hospital. Try some cold compresses (ice in plastic bags even?) on your neck. The idea is to not let your brain fry. Breathe deeply, drink lots of water, find someone to check you in if it's not getting any better.

Where are your parents, and who is taking care of you while they're gone?

How long has your fever been unbroken? Does it drop for a while and then spike, or does it stay constant?

Call a doctor. They'll be able to guage your symptoms and the severity better than we can.

well its been 103 and 104(spiking in between). and i finaly got ahold of my mom. and i guess im going to the doctor

I had a 104 temperature and it was miserable - and DEFINITELY not healthy.

yeah. this is the worst i have ever been.. but ive been eating ice cubes all afternoon. i feel better. my temp is down to 100-101. i think ill still go to the dr. and find out whats wrong with meh

well just got back from my 3 hour dr. visit.. they came up with alot

both ears are infected.
bronchideous
strep throat.
and possibly mono.(wont know for like 7 days)

all at once...*sigh* this oughta be fun

my bro had pneumonia (yes i know you dont have it) But he drank like 13 liters of water a day and he was better in 2 days.(so drink up ) By the way he was guide at Bootcamp (india company)
