Yah you're missing the amazingness of a great product. Like someone stated earlier, they put them in stereo cabinets and the thing gets NO Air. IT NEEDS TO BREATHE! Mine has yet to have a problem and I've ran it for several hours straight. Ohh and ATM743 thank you for answering that. My Gamestop is expecting 4 xboxs a week and they aren't sure if they are premiums or cores.
IF I WANTED AN ANGEL AIR I WOULD GLUE A GAMEBOY TO MY FRIKIN TANK.

Suspending the power brick so it recieves air flow solves most crashing, overheating, etc.

I'm friends with the guys in the BB shipping department here locally (worked there during the summer), I'll ask them some q's on how many they're gonna be getting in.

You know why BB doesn't do preorders for 360's? Look at all the unhappy people. If just ONE xbox didn't come in, that's unhappy customers. BTW, my local one had something like 53 or so total, sold out in one hour.

It's not uniform across the country. One best buy got 200 premiums launch day, others 6. Game stores will tell you none until next year because they're filling preorders and are still accepting them until the time they quote you on.

Anybody seen any selling the cardboard box to their X-Box 360 on E-Bay and getting bids like it's the real thing? This was common with the PS2 when it came out and I don't doubt it's already happening with the 360. This tactic seems all too common on E-Bay. Someone will show you the picture of a vehicle, then in the auction description they'll show in fine print that all you're bidding on is the floor mats.

I don't know who told you that but your statement is 100% wrong. Microsoft is not losing money on the Xbox 360

You lose sales quantity for every dollar the console is priced higher, this is why they did a "peace wise" bundling. They are capturing more sales by lowering the price for the unbundled unit.

take a look at the bid history, and the winning bidder--> "avoid-this-auction" (suuuure that's legit ). most of them had zero feedback and were fake accounts.

Microsoft loses more then $100 for every Premium system sold. They make their money on lisenced games and accesories. Who ever told them that was 100% correct. And to Knights of Ni, almost every where you go you will notice that they are getting 5-10 xbox's a week.

Here is an article with an estimated cost for the components of the Xbox 360 and a guess on the total per xbox premium

As for fakes, knew a kid who paid $500 for a picture of a PS2 during the PS2 rush. I don't feel too bad cuz he was planning to turn around and sell it for $650 afterwards.

Prove it; show me the financial pricing model. You can't, that is hidden to the public and most Microsoft employees. All you and I will ever see is the public quarter report (which lumps everything together), and it's inaccurate; that is why financial analysts exist. Your confusing individual unit loss with gross sales loss. Each unit sales at a profit, Microsoft needs to sell "X" amount of units to recover their investment, and will appear as a loss until that time, as said by Microsoft CFO Chris Liddell. Think about it, if Microsoft takes a $100 loss on each unit and sells 20million units world wide... The VP said that Business Week's estimate was wrong, and all the other stockpiling theories were false as well.

Actually, Archangel Kid, on our "insider newsletter" at Best Buy it says we will be getting our next shipment on either December 15 or 18. Before I read that, the answer for the customer's question was March. So, unless you are an employee at best buy store 44, you most likely dont know the shipping dates for the xbox 360 to our location.
