I don't have a ton of experience with them, but they're pretty solid. About the only thing I don't like on them is the fact that they don't take PX-4 magazines. Kind of a dumb move by Berretta if you ask me.

There are two versions of the Storm (and three calibers), the other version does take the PX-4 mags. I believe there is an adapter to do such also.

Oh, ok. Then my friend who has one has the version that doesn't take PX4 mags. He was actually a little ticked at that.

What calibers? 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP? Any chance of 10mm Auto?

I wish, I would love to get my hands on a good 10MM pistol, but it seems noone makes a good one right now and ammo is hard to find for them. I actually think I might be better off finding ammo and a gun I like in .357SIG

Comparitively, how many licensed permit holders have used their guns for any crime, Vs criminals that do not need to get a permit?

How many innocent children are shot by licensed permit holders? By criminals?

Your statement is vapid and ignorant.

When considered with the statement above it is not entirely. When you pick home defense ammunition I am sure you consider overpenetration concerns. Its one of my main concerns with my current carry gun (a .357 Mag). The comment he quoted wanted "as big a gun as possible". Your an expert enough to know that in many situations with firearms, bigger is not always better. I would hate to think, if I lived in an apartment, that my neighbor was using a Dessert Eagle .50 with solid core bullets.

thanks for using the words "vapid" and ignorant" as "sentence coolifiers."

cause what i said is obviously not ignorant if you would step outside cynical shoes.

this guy i responded to was not worried about the use of over-kill and possible collateral of innocent lives.

i responded with a jest pointing out the stupidity of his statement.

what you are saying is that the amount of licenses alloted has nothing to do with the number of accidental deaths or injuries.

this guy is not talking in the view of a criminal. hes talking from the view of a citizen who wants to defend his home with a gun.

given this permit, he will use a pistol with poor thought out calibers in mind.

stupid accidents will always happen. but if less permits are available to people who obey the law, then the possiblity of this will decrease as they are obeying the law, they are just not thinking about the dangers of their choice of firearms.

I believe the comparison of the legal gun owners is that they are more responisble and trained/informed in their decisions. And it is true, there are very few licensed owners who are involved in crime and accidental shooters.

Indeed, making a bigger hole is preferable for making something dead. However those bog holes can be accompanied by lawsuits, so we all must temper our choices with prudence. In my case, a .50 fired at home could conceivably endanger my neighbors also. 9mm's still do the job and i'm confident in my ability to put 33 rounds of high power hyrdroshocks right where I want them (30 round mag + 2 round extender + 1 chambered).

The Storm only has the 9mm, .40, and .45 options right now. There is no 10mm planned but they will be releasing a 5.56mm NATO version later. If you like a 10mm then check out the .40, they are fairly comparable from what I understand.

Maybe if no paintball markers catch my eye later, I will get myself an end-of-contract bonus of a Fabrique National P-90, they just beame available! $1350-$1500
