Can't say it was the best SciFi I've ever seen, some plot holes kinda annoyed me.

But I will say that the action scenes in the movie were awesome, especially the freeway chase.

It reminded me very much of Logan's Run. If you liked the Island go rent the other.

I enjoyed the movie, and got to see it for free in the theater, yay!

This sounds a LOT like a book I read a few years ago...John Darnton's The Experiment. Kids (that are clones of rich people) are raised on an island where they are researching a serum for longer life for the rich clients that fund it. If that fails, they have clones of all the rich clients, and they plan to do full-block organ transplants (and harvest them from the clones). A clone escapes, finds out the truth, reveals it all...etc.

or it could just be a coincidence.

              Similar, but not quite.

The Island is a plot element in the movie.

Overall the move was an ok sci fi mystery for about half the movie, then an ok action thriller for the last half. It felt like two completly different movies glued together.

Meh, it was okay. Well shot, with good action sequences. However, I still can't see that project as being economically viable. And the idea that two clones, educated to the 13 year-old level, could beat a bunch of ex-SEALS (as described in the movie) in urban combat is a bit far-fetched.

Also, this movie has some of THE most blatant product-placements I have ever seen. It actually made me laugh out loud. If you watch it, look for them.

Not nearly as bad as Fantastic 4. That one was so bad I walked out.

And I was watching it at home.

well, they were 13 year olds until they found out they were clones...then they suddenly somehow became genius's.

No, he said they had the memory patterns of a 30 year-old. Their education level was still that of a 13 year-old.

Definately one of those movies where you just have to enjoy the scenery and ignore the lapses in logic, if possible. Gotta love Scarlett

                            Steve Buscemi made that movie.
