Just like anything else with a gun, it can be done in an unsafe manner. But it can also be done safely.

Honestly, from reading his post, I couldn't tell. To be totally honest, those types of activities occur spontaneously and are unsafe.

I guess I take offense to everyone laying into the guy without trying to make sure he was safe in the first place.

I also agree that you don't go shooting rifles off into the air. But to flame the guy for the little amount of info he gave, I feel is unwaranted.

I can, but I doubt it would be on a spur of the moment to find a safe place to do it. Considering that he was shooting with a shotgun and then just "randomly" switched to a rifle with pretty lengthy balistics, I highly doubt full consideration was given to where that bullet was coming down. Could I be wrong? Sure I could be, but I expect if I was he would have already pointed out how. Not to mention the thread title.

Here's a chalenge to you all ON A SAFE RANGE take a paintball and put it out as far as you can and blast it with a .22, trying this weekend for about 200-250 yds.

Also egg's and slow motion camera's are not a good thing.
