              maybe this is just the motor city speaking inside of me, but i believe that his mopars (even the orange one) will blow the doors off your neon.

                i think he's jsut saying that he tries to make the neon pretty and accesorize, while the cuda is already sick to begin with...they do a lot more than look pretty, especially if they have a nice little 426 hemi

                  hey i m not here to say my car is the fastest... ive beat cars on the strip and ive lost. there was one guy who was so determined to beat me cause the neon spanked his rx7 that he bought a 5.0 stang and dropped 10g into the engine... he was very surprised when he won cause i kept up with him the whole way down....

                  in any case, racing isnt me anymore, i could give 2 donkey turds about the engine as long as its running good.

                  as i said i like to accessorize

                    So what specificaly have you done to the neon to get it to run 13.2??? ON STOCKish rubber???

                    Even most the modifyied SRT4's cant pull that off (Neon with a turbo).

                    IM sorry but i have a hard time seeing that happen. Even my old ES Dodge shadow (Neon predisesor) would not pull into the 13's and it was DAMN quick for the day. My shadow had a 2.2L factory Turbo with a cat back flowmaster, Cousom air intake, and a locked shut wast gate (pineding the boost gauge at past 15pi boost and i had a cracked head and two head gaskets to prove it). Stock the car was 150hp after mods over 200hp. I could not keep the wheels from spingin on that car but on a good start it was pretty impressive.

                    Hell my bike (Stock) would be hard pressed to hit 13secs (at least with me on it LOL).

                    Its a car and im glad your proud of it and its definatly unique but i have a hard time seeing it pull a 13.2sec quater mile time.

                    Hell even my budies supercharged 4.6 V8 mustange pulls only mid 13's and a felow coworker runs a HEAVILY moded 351 powered Fairlane and its only in the 14's. And those are both rear wheel drive vehicals with not even HALF the launching ishues of a Front driven NEON.

                      the guy who owned it before me had rebuilt the engine, performance pistons, valves, the whole shebang...

                      put about 2000$ into it then wrecked it...

                      so around 2003 my friend jarrod sees an add in the paper for "totaled performance neon"

                      we ended up buying it for 800$ cause the exaust was literaly ripped off at the header when he wrecked. back passenger door, trunk and rear quarter were essentialy gone. we replaced the trunk and door and hammered out the quarter, shaping it with over 5 gallons of bondo...

                      then he got a really good deal on a mazda rx7 for 1000$. sold the neon to me for 800$ at that point the exhaust was replaced. me being a street racing teen bought a low end performance exhaust.

                      thats about when the history of the car caught up to me. the guy worked at a junkyard. and in fact when jarrod bought it it was a junker title, well this guy put a crappy trans on it and it blew up... leteraly, i could fit my head in the hole... did i mentioned i only recently got the speedometer to work... no hmm...

                      ok so where r we at?
                      -rebuilt motor
                      -performance exhaust
                      -new tranny w/ stage 2

                      oh that reminds me, to fix the speedo problem we replaced the CPU with one from a junker car we bought for 30$ the guy didnt notice it was a racing cpu that ratails for 4-500ish

                      my friend joe who used to work at sears brought it in one day to change the oil on it. he did it free for me all the time he just had to say it was his car. well this particular week they did some work for a guy who has access to a dyno and offered the auto department employees free dyno runs for the day. well joe happened to be driving my car at the time...

                      232 horse at the crank with 195 pounds of torque and an estimated 12.5 quarter

                      joes current rx7 got 93 horsepower... he promtly sold it

                      well joe took me racing with him... yea thats the day pulled the 13.2, i was running racing 110 octane fuel and i blew my head gasket... total of 3 runs, a 14.9, 14.1 and the 13.2

                        Since we seem to be sharing and all....I have had this a little over a year now and since I am a college student this project is going very slow...The pictures are not in any particular order and in some of them the car is not clean so those bugs look like scratches and what not. Can you tell the difference between Georgia and Iowa in the pictures?

                            Very Nice! But ditch the Blue lights!! (They arn't as bright as regular 3-4K Color bulbs, they cause eyestrain, and cause glare thats why alot of states made them illegal.) and the grille paint it or try to match the stock one. Otherwise its very clean I like stuff when it looks like the factory put it on. Which you pulled off very nicely.

                              Actually I have both black with blue lenses for show and clear 6000k for driving. The grill is going bye bye soon. When I get my new hood the RS4 grill is going in.

                                It can happen in the pure stock class drags which is practicly no mods, can't modify chassis, no headers, stock heads, engine displacement can only be factory etc etc do 11-12's on BIAS PLY TIRES and just recently a ZL1 Cloned Vette hit the 10's
