NHL Playoffs... who will do what and who will flop?

With the playoffs just around the corner I'm curious what everyone thinks. As it stands now my team is on the outside looking in for a playoff birth (Go Kings Go). How is your team doing? Who do you think is going to win?

I think Detroit has a good chance but I really hope they repeat the last previous years. (out in first round) Ducks are entering the playoffs strong but I hope they choke, especially if LA doesn't make it.

Not sure on the east.

I'd love to see them make the playoffs, but I'm not holding my breath. They shouldn't have let Murray go. I know they've been crappy lately, but still, at least let him finish the season!

If Buffalo stays strong I think they have a pretty good chance.

Buffalo is decent but I doubt they have the staying power for a true playoff push, especially if the first two rounds go long.

Being a Tampa area resident, I hope they can repeat for the parties, but I seriously doubt they have what it takes either at this point. Not a very strong end-of-season run IMHO.

The west should be a ton of scraps like always and there will be at least one major upset (likely Colo again) but Detroit is very strong again.

That's all I got for now, we'll see how it falls out.

Go thrashers, last time i checked they were one spot out of the playoffs, but by like 3 points or something like that. So I am hoping they make it in.

I'm glad they let Murray go. I wish they would have done it sooner. He had a who cares attitude and most of the club has openly said they won't miss him (Avery said it and no one is saying otherwise)

I'm suprised by the way the Kings are playing. With names like Roenick, Conroy, Frolov, Demitra, Norstrom, Robitaille, Visnovsky, Parrish & Sopel are playing so crappy. Of course when a guy like Avery has 251 PIM and leads the league by almost 100 PIM that is saying something about their stupid play.

The Dallas game was kind of a joke. Modano, Turco, & Zubov were both out of the line-up... and ya the kings won by 1.

Carolina has an excellent chance to win the east ... but detroit might have something to say about it in the finals. Being a NJ Devils fan, I must mention that you can never count this team out, especially when they're rolling like they are right now.
