                  that's how my papa writes it. always used to confuse me. he also still uses 24 hour time. that used to confuse the hell out of me, too.

                      I'm not sure, actually. I just took it as "it's a European thing" and didn't ask questions. I imagine countries like India and South Africa which were colonies use that system as well?

                              We had a few guys over from Laos and the Philipines at work. We label all the boxes like most americans do, mm/dd/yyyy. Of course, they thought it was the way that the rest of the world does it, dd/mm/yyyy so our labeling was off for a good three weeks untill someone noticed and told them lol.

                              Personally, even though I'm not used to it, I think it makes more sense.
