I personally like it better when the date is written as: Day Month Year (06 April 06); of course, I had it beaten into me for 8 years by the Air Force...Originally posted by tropical_fishyI had this neurotic Spanish teacher who INSISTED we write the date day/month/year instead of month/day/year. She insisted it was the "Spanish way."

I'm not sure, actually. I just took it as "it's a European thing" and didn't ask questions. I imagine countries like India and South Africa which were colonies use that system as well?Originally posted by BolterIm just wondering who else uses month/day/year or if its just Americans.Comment

We had a few guys over from Laos and the Philipines at work. We label all the boxes like most americans do, mm/dd/yyyy. Of course, they thought it was the way that the rest of the world does it, dd/mm/yyyy so our labeling was off for a good three weeks untill someone noticed and told them lol.Originally posted by tropical_fishyI'm not sure, actually. Personally, even though I'm not used to it, I think it makes more sense.Comment
