AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Very difficult to do this due the amount of flex these things have.
I can tell you how to paint plastic that has some flex. But I seriously doubt its going t hold up to this much flex.
There is a product called Bulldog adhesion promoter/elastisizer. It is sprayed on to scuffed up plastic and allowed to flash off and then normal paint process goes on from there.
This is the stuff used to repaint things like car bumper covers. This is used for plastic motorcycle parts, car parts etc. But those don't nearly flex at much as a mask would So even though this stuff has elastisizers and such it can only streatch so far before the paint, of any kind, will crack.
Try vinyl dye. You can get it at automotive stores. It's a spray that chemically bonds with plastics to "paint" them. You could also try Krylon Fusion as it is meant to be used with plastic, but I bet the vinyl dye will work better. Let us know what you decide to use and how it turns out.
