on topic: accidents suck. i just found out that my accident (fairly small, a 10 MPH rear ender) caused an estimated $3,600 of damage to my car. all cosmetic, it still ran fine.

Only one speeding ticket in 7-8 years now.

85km/hr in a 60km/hr zone. I was driving my 86 VW Golf Diesel and i you ever drive a older VW youll KNOW how picky the transmishions are. I was just cruseing along and went to shift to fifth and it just would not mesh. So i plopt it back in 4th and accelerated to try and get it at a differant RPM. Well i go it in fifth and then probly was pulled over. Due to a VERY clean record and no BS excuses i got of with a $50 ticket no points.

Now my wort offence (never cought). A Road rally i participated in last year for Diesel Cars. It was all done right but it was not "supposed" to be a hgh speed race. the point was to get from point A-B by following the rally style instructions. Wll lets just say the rules were bent a tad.

I was driving my 86 VW (oldest lowest powered car their). And i was just keeping up to the pack by pushing the car as hard as the 13" tires would let me. It was raining so alot of the more seriouse guys were slowed down a bit do to low pro street tires just floting around in the rain. I managed to keep up pretty good (was 3rd in the pack of 12 cars ad only one U-Turn). Well i was hitting 130km/hr in 60 zones reguarly . At one point trying to catch up out of a corner (the other cars can acelerate ALOT faster) i held the hammer down in a particular hilly area and managed to jump the car over some little whoop hills (probly why it needs bearings now LOL). It was EXTREAMLY stupid and if i had been caught i likely would have lost my lisence. No excuses but it was DAMN fun. Its something i wish i could get into more seriously (but in more LEAGLE closed road races).

Estimated 135 in a 70. Not 100% sure. The officer didn't get me on radar, just chased me down till I saw his lights.

not really. fun fact: in texas the only traffic offense you can't get arrested for is speeding. ask cop (spring valley, hpd, village ect) and they'll tell you.

i got 40 in a 30 at 10:45 at night during spring break last year

Yes but at that point it's bumped automatically to reckless driving, way beyond speeding. At least in Virginia, I can only assume it's similar in Texas.

A buddy of mine got nabbed doing 120 in a 70. He told me that the first thing the cop said was, "You know I can arrest you, right?"

I was once doing 90 in a 55 on my way to work. A cop came up behind me so fast that I didn't see him until he flew by me (Remember, I'm doing 90). A few minutes later I saw that he had pulled someone else over. I still wonder how fast the other guy was going, since my 35mph over clearly wasn't worth the bother.

                          Mine is super weak.
I did 80 in a 65. We had no proof of insurance, I didn't have my license and I still never got a ticket - not even a warning.

I've been pulled over about 7-8 times, and I've probably had my license with me 2-3 of those times. I haven't had one ticket.

The ironic thing....my girlfriend's mom is a dispatcher. She was with me a few of those times, but we hadn't been dating.
I've been clean ever since we have been dating, though.

Of course, I've done a lot of things with my car that nobody knows about.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves. 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

One of my old co-workers, kind of a idiot, got two DUI's on the same night. First was when the cop stopped him. After being released he went back to his car still wasted to grab his cigerrette's that he left in there. In Wi if your drinking you can't be with in ten feet of your car while drunk. His judge asked him "What? Are you stupid?" Ended up shelling out about 3K in two charges Judge was kind of nice by only making him pay basically two first offense ticket's, 6 months of work release and 12 months of AA.

Hahaha, that reminds me of coming home from IAO last year.

I had a couple friends visit. When we all woke up Sunday morning, they were still DRUNK. Forget hungover, like, Sara handed me the keys and told me to drive. So I'm playing DD at like 10 in the morning, that was weird.

Anyway I get pulled over in Pennsylvania doing 25 over on some highway. He asks for license and registration, and that's where things get sticky. We're in Pennsylvania, I hand him my Virginia license, the car we're driving has Minnesota plates, and there's no insurance information in the car. The fifteen year old+ piece of crap car must've really looked unintimidating, because I got off with just a $50 "Failure to obey traffic sign" violation.
