    Baseball

Why do they play so much baseball on TV. It's so boring. I'd rather watch fishing shows.

Yeah, I'm kind of ashamed about that.

            Agreed.

You know what's boring? Soccer. Oh dear, that is annoyingly boring.

Because everyone sold the rights to hockey games away to OLN, gotta fill those slots somehow. NBC plays them once in a while.

                Yeah...

On a positive note, earlier this season the Cubs swept the Cards for the first time in five years, that is good omen.

Does that mean they will still miss the playoffs like the many previous seasons?

The run lots of baseball because what else are they going to throw on TV... Spanish informercials selling cars with busty models.

Hitting just south of the belt are we...
With Lee injured there is a hole in the infeild, and the batting order, while it may not be devistating, it hurts. But they did beat the cards today--yesterday now technicaly.

When haven't the cubbies had a "hole" someplace.

True I guess... A few years ago, they had a solid outfield in Alou, Paterson, and the other guy was a big A hole . Good thing he is gone, but I'm shocked a team picked him up...Stupid move for the Orioles. Nomah Gahciapara caused more problems than he solved too, should have stayed in Bahstin (I have even taken the liberty of spelling the Boston accent phonetically )

Seriously though, they have been strong the last few years, the problem is that they are in a strong division with the Cards and Stros... And whenever they play the Brewers (which is often) they play like poo, weird phenomenon

Except for the riot, it is boring. Good thing we have Real TV/MaxEx and the like. It is like the highlight reel for the sport, as it is not good enough for ESPN Now I can see crazy people hit each other with sticks and stuff, and not sift through that boring soccer part....

Seriously though, we may not have riots in most games, but when Bartman caught that fowl ball and the Cubs went on to loose (correlation is debatable) there was a lynch-mob. And on the south side, they have streakers and crazy people who beat up first-base coaches. Mix the two (we shall call it the Chicago White Cubs) and that would be one crazy riot...

I agree. Although I still think baseball is more boring. I do think it's funny that it's the only sport that you can chew tobacco during the game. Might as well just light up a cigarette on the bench. At least you have to be in shape for soccer, it's just that the field is way to big to make it exciting to watch.
