Just ordered - Rem 870 "Tactical" 12 guage..

Decided to sell my HK Fabarms FP6 and went with the 870 Tactical in OD green. Its an Express geared up for personal defense. Extended tube, and Knoxx Spec-Ops stock.

Here's a good site to see the Spec-Ops recoil reducing stock in action...

Going to be adding a 4-shot shell holder to the right and left side of the reciever...
Mesa Tactical designs and manufactures American-made, duty-grade firearm and shotgun accessories trusted by law enforcement and professionals.

Wrapping it all up with a single point sling and reciever adapter...

Planning on doing a shotgun/pistol course next year ...

... But for now its "Tactical Skeet" - lol.

    HLD...

Naaa -- I'm an 870 man -- only wish I went with the Police Mag -- but that would have been more $$.

Excellent choice, always loved the 870's (I use a winny 1800 personally but its got sentimental value)

ive never had a a2 stock on a shotgun but its something id be willing to give a try...

as for the 4 rounders on the sides...
take it from this seasoned shotgunner, IMHO they honestly lack practicality in a tactical situation...
        - you mentioned taking a shotgun/pistol class they will preach the application of proper tools for the proper job, and why its essential to practice transitioning to your secondary system instead of fumbling reloading your primary... standard reload when you can, but hot swaping systems is always faster than reloading.
        - they add weight that could be better used on trit ghost rings and a slide mounted flashlight. remember speed kills, glitz gets you killed. If you REALLY want sidesaddles get one at most.

targetPractice... Um dude wheres the pics of your new hotness? Dont let me get mine done first!

Nothing wrong with a Rem870 OD Green, awesome! Maybe a add a rail and sight to it?

My toy finally arrives tomorrow! Nothing says party like an AK-47!

          Actual pics maybe this weekend...

I may be back home for some time off soon but if I stick around here longer I may just pick up another toy. This is what I have my eyes on next:

Gemtech Trinity 9mm Supressor! I will use it for both my Beretta 92FS and my Beretta Storm

          Ahhh....tax deductable toys!

            tax deductable?

um bro whats your day job again? 400 bucks in tax stamps would even make my tax prep monkey scratch his head

btw excellent score with the AK, ive been wanting one for a few months now, but not until I finish my m4gry

$400? Should be a $200 tax stamp. But I can get away with the tax deductable since I am my own "company" and need to maintain "skill set".

Shopping cart recovery for Wal-Mart is hazardous

There are a lot "ifs" about picking it up anyway; mostly personal contract issues, blah, blah...and we have a different CLEO in my home area, don't know about a sign off from him yet. But if I can fly with the PD chief, it is a done deal then.

But I could probably get the Mrs to actually go shoot if I got it, she doesn't care for the noise.

Looks pretty good. Gonna get some ghost ring sights for it or no? My agency uses 14" barreled 870s with ghost rings and pistol grip stocks and they are pretty good. They certainly get folks' attention.

Let me know how you like that Knoxx stock, as I was looking at one for a Mossberg 590a1.

I was actually thinking about the transition to pistol -- I took a couple carbine courses and know what you mean as far as speed, and going right for the secondary weapon. Anyone whose ever formally trained with the AR15 knows how the instructor stresses a fast transition to the sidearm is essential when you run with an AR. I'm now thinking just a 4 shell holder on the right side so for smoother snag free transitions with the single point sling. I'm right handed, so the shotgun would fall to the left side of my body to allow for access to the pistol. Also a consideration is that this is a home defense weapon primarily, so its not like I'll be doing a lot of "high speed" work - lol -- I've got a more capable set of tools for that -- God forbid.

Nice rig. I just sold my ARMS rail and slapped on a DPMS glacier guard. The only thing I ever put on the rail was a light, and there are other ways to mount that. I figure I can use the money I got for some optics, probably an Eotech.

you mentioned putting it on both your 92FS and Storm... 2 firearms = 2 stamps @ 200 each
                        + /shhh = dinero

im tempted to put a can on a p22 just for kicks but i think that will be on the backburner for a bit...

I never dug the whole Ak thing either until I got around to shooting one.

its simple, dependable, has a sutable projectile, and is available damn near everywhere
...so might as well be proficent with it.
