AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
The only reason I enjoyed chemistry in high school . . .
Probably because of the whole most unstable element in the first 100 thing. And the fact that only about 500 grams occur naturally in the earths crust, tough to get your hands on.
I am well aware of this, however it would have been dang cool to see. That is the only one I have never seen before...
To whover mentioned the natural gas bubles, my Chem teacher sophmore year burned his eyebrow (yes only one ) and arm hair on one arm off the first time he tried...on his second try he got to use a fire extinguisher
In AP Chem senior year we did a cool thing with fire, a pumpkin, and licopodium (sp ) powder. That was cool... Flamethrowing jack'o'lantern
My favorite was the "Big Boom Bottle." 10mL ethanol (let it evap.) in a 5gal water cooler tank + fire. That was awsome!!
