many reasons... in my opinion some are ok others are not.
For instance, I think it would be ok if there was meaning in a peircing, like to remember an occasion, and/or for looks, maybe as a symbol to remember a promise? Those to me are acceptable reasons.
To do it because you want to apeal to someone on a sexual level, or because everyone else is doing it, or to show off, or to purposly go against someone elses taste ( a sort of rebelion ) would make it wrong in my opinion. Those are in my opinion reasons not to have it done.
About the PA, the reason ppl pierce down there is because it's the only part of the male body that doesn't get shown when you go to the beach, and if you are an admirer of piercings but don't want everyone to know then it's the only place to pierce. Personally I would never get a PA done. That particular piercing doens't look good to me and I think it would be more anoying then anything. But piercings are a highly personal thing anyway and are not something ppl that think it will look "ok" will do. It's either LIKE or dislike, DO or DO NOT.
In our society I feel ppl with piercings aside from the typical earlobe are very bold ppl, because it shows that they aren't people pleasers. Too often we do or don't do things because some ppl will know our opinions and dislike us for it. How often do you agree to likeing something like a TV show only to think to yourself 2 min later... "I don't really like or dislike it but by saying I like it I feel accepted" ??
I for one like peircings. I think they are estetically pleaseing when done in measure and done tastefully. Think of them as jewery, like necklaces, earrings, fingerrings, etc. And if I have a piercing and you dislike it then you may say so, but if you use it to pick on me I might tell you what I think about your fingernail polish, shoes, car, music etc. and it's not going to make me take it out.
please note the frequency at which I use the word "I". These are my opinions and not neccisary the opinions of others and I am not setting a standard here.
In all seriousness though, any girl with more then a double peirced ear has about 2 times the chances to get my attension then any girl without. And that's JUST ME. So if you are a girl then don't think that this is way all guys think, because it's NOT. Infact there are pry more guys that will NOT consider a relationship because of piercings then guys who will be attracted by them. Another reason why NOT to do it unless YOU like it.
