    Calling all Suzuki Experts(If any)

OK guys I've been searching High and low and I've been trying to find out what my engine came off of. This has been troubbleing me for sometime. As some of you know I'm building a sand rail useing this and I need parts for it. Here is the pic of the engine. Its a 2stroke, 1500cc 3cyl. engine.

    Thanks AO

Build a frame from the ground up useing Round 1" tubeing or square tubeing, I have a set of 35" super swamper tires I'm gonna throw on it for fun. Do a swing arm type axle in the rear end with A-arm style controle arms in the front. all 4 disk breaks. I dunno what else your wondering about.

looks like it came off one of their cruiser bikes, probably a marauder i believe is the name. 1500cc is gonna be a cruiser bike. If you would call your local dealer you could probably get all the info you want.

I just want this stuff gone, super low prices

Looks like a GT 550 circa 73-74. There are no 1500 cc suzie triple two strokes.

the larger gt750 triple was water cooled and affectionately known as the water buffalo.

the gt series competed with yamaha's rd/rz and kawasaki's insane h series triples.

I had an hIII 750 that was the scariest motorcycle I've ever owned. absolutely crap handling and massive top end that was light switch quick to come on the pipes.

                          It's a GT550. 550cc 2 stroke. Woo. Okey you want information, I've got information.

The engine uses a direct injected oil lubrication system. directly into the main bearings. I wouldn't reccomend running premix on this engine.

There are several kits for incresing displacement. if you look hard enough there are even water cooled cylinders and heads for the bike.

That's a good page to check out.

The suzuki GT's were like the RD's and the H1's and H2's. Except the RD's and GT's uh.. handled.

The motor you're working with looks pretty tired. Is this a "because it's free" or "beacuse I wanted something like this" If it's "because it's free" you're way in over your head. Most of a 2 strokes horsepower comes from timing, and the exhasut pipe. You're without proper exahusts, and don't pretend you can just "make them up." There are calculators out there designed to help you make proper tuned pipes. Be sure to follow them! Straight pipes will only make you cry.

Uh... what else. I have a few bikes at my house ;-) Including a 1983 RM250 and a few GS550's.

When you talk about timeing what exactly are you meaning?

Does this engine have a electric start and where can i get replacement parts for it?

Oh And an owners manual I'm sure would be helpful!
