If you have weak gaming requiremenets hit up your CompUSA and get an E-Machines for $500. If you want to upgrade later you will need to get a new one so take that into your calculations. You could just save some money and spend time in the library using there computers "free" that you pay for whether you use them or not.President and Founder University of Dubuque Paintball Club

Get the extended warranty and pay the extra for next day onsite, you'll need it. If you don't do the onsite, you'll be out of a laptop until it gets shipped to the RMA facility, repaired, and returned.Originally posted by MayAMonkeyBeYourPinataGetting a Dell. BTW, My staffs calls to get hardware issues repaired were 5 times higher with Dells than with Thinkpads. The last straw was when two brand new laptops both needed motherboard replacements within a month of reciept, for two different issues.Comment

Go with AMD and NOT Intel if you have the chance.President and Founder University of Dubuque Paintball Club

I think its 128 dedicated and 128 shared. Either way the gig of memory should be fine unless you're running some high end animation or compilation jobs.Originally posted by robnixGet more memory. The X1400 uses system memory IIRC.Comment
