Probablly dosn't count but I was in ROTC At Central Missouri State University for two and a half years and made it to the rank of Caedt Lt before my knees kept me from passing the PT test and being commishioned. While I was there I posted top scores in all fields except the pt.

I'm not a military man. Unfortunately I was to fat during a non-war time. My brother is turning 15 this year and is definately looking towards the Marines. He knows so much about them it's scary. I think his favortie is Chesty Puller. I've read up on him. Definately a lead eater and nail pooper. My bro wnats to get into the sniper core but my folks and I are trying to explain to him that aafter his tour is up there's not a whole heck of a lot of calling for that in the private sector.
Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.

I'm an Army Brat (Dad served in the 60's and still works for the DOD), but they won't take me on account of my poor vision. [read: blind as a bat without my coke-bottle glasses]

My cousin was in the Air Force, but we lost him in the mid-80s when his F15 crashed in New Mexico.

I was enlisted for 6 years. Loved it so much that I decided to have the army send me to college and become an officer. Field Artillery, we play with the BIG GUNS (boom boom)!

Hmmm... I've coded/contracted/tested for the DOD and CECOM, does that count? Spent three months living in an underground bunker for one job.

                  Ex VS Former

I am not sure, but it could be a semantics game.

EX indicating being forced out dishonorably, and Former being someone who used to be, but was honorably discharged?

I am a Former Soldier, but would not call myself an EX Soldier. But I have assisted in the making of EX Soldiers in my day. I think this might be what was meant. EX just tends to have a negative connotation to it.

                      Currently in the Navy

Only about 7 months and 28 days, 15 hours, 24 minutes..... etc. It's not really that bad.

I did my 4 in the ARMY, ADA, 2 1/2 at Ft. Hood, Tx a year in THE ROK-Camp Hovey, and then that was enough for me. Just got out in July. Best thing is now my wife is active duty, and I'm the lazy sit around do nothing "house wife". At least until January when I go back to school.

                                Go Air Force!

I served in the Air Force from 89'to 91'. Funny thing is I went to tech. school(tactical electrical environmental systems specialist whoo...) at Chanute AFB in Illinois and now since they closed the base I play paintball in the old movie theater. Called Splat-Tactics, a great place to play indoors when the cold Illinois winters get here.
