Everyone on The Whiteboard seems tells me Windows Vista sucks. Aside from the general bugs seen in the first generations of all OSes, it has nearly no driver support for alot of things. Sure this will change, but it will be a little bit before Vista is a powerhouse.

The pocket RAM idea is little more than a gimmick IMO. I guess I was told that flash drives can only be written and rewritten a certain number of times before they are unsable. Something like running your RAM off of a Flash drive seems like agreat way to kill the drive.

Plus Window's Vista uses alot of resources to just run the OS. I honestly think the best OS would be a simple one that doesn't use half the computers ram/cpu and isn't 4 gigs big - then maybe you could use all the computer you paid for. What we need are more intarwebz and bigger tubes.

As far as Macs now running windows... What's to prevent a PC from running OSX?

We have 2 or 3 instruments at work that will only run on 3.1 I make fun of the engineers who use them all the time. A multibillion dollar company, and the best we can do is win 3.1 on a computer that does not have a usb or cd drive.
