all in all, i thought it was a damn good movie. if you really want to enjoy a movie that is not supposed to be a documentary, then you are supposed to suspend your disbelief. that is one of the first rules of movie watching. Anyway, while we are discussing the accuracy, I was rather impressed with Miller's depiction of the battle formation (Phalanx) was pretty good. I have not seen many (or any, for that matter) movies that have done a good job of this yet. So kudos for that!
as far as depth of characters, come on, it's a movie about a battle. It's no Saving Private Ryan, but good for what it is.
