I wasn't talking about tongue and groove OSB. I was talking about the tongue and groove 3/4x or 1x that they used up until around the 50s for roofs and subfloors. Much better than the plywood and OSB they use now. The same goes for plaster over sheet rock, real plaster work or wood carving over the foam stuff, the molding and paneling you don't see anymore, and the quality of workmanship in general.

Not even close to doubling it. A lot on Staten Island is worth a small fortune regardless of what sits on it.

Well Im on a 100x100 lot.. so even before this project it was worth a small fortune. If I couldnt get this house I would have been off of SI a long time ago. Fortunately its still in a good area.

while OSB is fine for climates like we have here in florida, plywood is a much better choice for places where you are going to get snow as it is more rigid and less likely to sag under load.

Looks like it's coming along quite well! All the demo and rough work usually goes pretty quickly, but it'll slow down some when the finish work starts.

We just got through with a 3 month long remodel of our house... went quite a bit slower than that though, but we also had to feed cattle during that blizzard every morning and only had afternoons to work on it. Also it was just my dad and I working on it and we're slow...
