        Just a fine toothed blade for a saw, jigsaw or Dremel. I just had them cut it so I knew it would turn out right.

          Hey, would you mind posting a picture of the bottom of the job?

          So you're saying you had them custom cut to 3" dead?

            Yes, 3” even. With that, there is about 1/16” overhang, which is not an issue for me as I plan to chop off about 80% of the aluminum handle that goes inside the carbon fiber tube for a little more weight savings.

              What cut length tolerances did you use for your piece and is that a sanded finish or the standard finish?
