I don't care as long as we hit Baghdad, Bosnia, and Beirut at least once.I didn't get to touch any of those fields last time, and that made me very sad. I hope you get those tags ASAP, because I plan to jump onto Advanced's first game, since it's usually in one of those.

i'd say going advanced walk on is the only way you are going to see any of those fields.

We didn't touch 1 rec ball field last time and it is going to be even busier this time.

Since we are going to be playing majority speedball I think we should park by the speedball fields.

Has the meeting spot already been decided?

MOG-I'd love to play some rec ball. I understand they are busy and this probably won't happen. You mentioned if we are ready early we could get on some rec fields.

So how early is early? Can you get those of us there early out of the rules and national anthem singing? I assume early means before the rest of the rec ballers are done singing and chrono'ing

as a note... You want to park as close to the Air as possible.. That way we can stay in a tight group..

Well, by the fields would mean to things; either in the corner that connects Bosnia to the upper fields, or the are where the ramp up to the upp fields and entrance to the speedball fields is. Both can be considered away from the Air fill stations in the main area.
If we're planning on clogging up the speedball fields, we can always use the fiull station that's located atop the speedball fields in the other parking lot.

I was thinking of putting us next to the ramp, where we could make be closest to the speedball ramps. Let me know what you guys think, so I can make a definite decision.

Majority rules. So the few that need to rent are going to get a little more excercise then the rest of us

But we can wait to see what the rest of SoCal AO thinks of the meeting place.

the reason we like the Speedball parking lot is the crowd levels... Everyone pours into the Rec ball lot... If we can stay out of that it serves us as a group a better experience. and more space to put out tables and chairs.

Ok guys lets just call it. We'll park in our old traditional spot up by speedball so we can be more of a group and stick together. I'm going to bring some radios that I can give out to whoever can help me keep things organized. I'm going to talk again with my manager in person to see what he can do for us and see if we can get a ref. He said he should have one to spare so we'll have to see. I'm on the waiting list for private groups, but I'm top of the list because the secretaries at HSP like me So as long as one group drops out then we are in. They have close to 15 groups right now, but if we stick to the speedball fields with a few random games out on the bigger fields then we should be good. If for some unseen reason we can't get on the fields as a group alone then we can jump on with advanced and school a few hundred people there.

As for rentals and setting up early. I need everyones help in getting things off the ground ASAP. What I need is for everyone to have their waivers filled out and $20 ready to hand to me. I'll make another list and have it ready to go so just make sure you are ready. Have your friends fill out the waiver as well so I'm not waiting on anyone. Also tell me how many tanks you need a tag for. I can give out a max 2 per person but please make sure the tanks are in hydro. What you guys do out there reflects on me with my bosses and on the AO group as a whole so please follow the rules. 5 year tanks are ok as long as they say it on there. Once I get everyones money and waivers then I can jump to the front of the line and get everyone checked in. We are required to go to the rules session in the morning, but lets make sure to stay at the top of the road so we don't get sucked into the crowd. Just stand by the PA booth or registration area at the top. Once the rules are over then everyone can head back to the cars and finish gearing up. I'll be back with the wrist bands and air fill tags.

If you are going to be late then you'll have to sign in yourself. I'll have a few spare air tags, but you'll have to go into the office and say you are with Ross Gunn IV or the AO group and pay the $20 there. This was a big hassle last time because everyone was waiting for air tags from me and I want to get that done ASAP.

I've only been to SC one other time. We met at the speedball and played speedball. We were not required to go to the rules and singing class.

ive never been there so as long as we all can agree on a spot thats fine with me. if its going to be as busy as we all think, it will it will be important to stay close. i would say go for the west parking lot in either location. that way the renters are a little bit closer and we are still close to the speedball.

i dont know about you guys, but id love to get at least a game on a rec field. so lets try to work that out
