I've not priced rooms but the wife knows I want to go and that more than likely means she wants to come too. We're still a long way out to get room deals, I'm going to poke around a bit looking for rooms later this weekend.

umm 4 months... exactly what do we need to take care of ahead of time?

there are 3 fields in the immeadte area, one is eiliminated due to distance, and the other is a small indoor field, so really that only leaves the outdoor field capable of hosting a group our size, they wont need to do anything out of the norm for us, they might be able to cut a break on entry... maybe, but with the way things are around here at present, unless its in the timeframe of "next month" they generally will forget what you told them in the first place..

paint only needs a lead time of a few weeks to a month and a half

rooms are kinda out of our hands, especially without any concrete numbers of how many people are coming.. and seeing as how the poll is split, seems alot of us cant even agree on what weekend it will be

so by all means, if you have anything i can start working on an ulcer about now, by all means let me know, if not, its in the works, we had to dealt with our own rooms and transportation when we went to CPP, why would it be any different for you guys to come here?

I think people would just like to know the exact date, field, and if it's field paint only.

absolute nearest casino/hotel will be the suncoast, its not FPO (the only field of the 3 that is, is the one located very far away), their only stipulation is that your paint not have oil in it, (im sure your all aware of that deal)

as for resturants, there is pretty much anything imaginable, within a few miles, so teh sky is prety much the limit on that one

weve decided on the field...

Hotel/casinos close as stated above are the suncoast, the rampart, and the red rock all within 1-8 mi of the field.

it is about 20 mi from the stip... here is the website http://www.lvpp.net/, if you stay at either of the hotels listed above it will take from 2-8 min to get to the field. if you stay near the strip it will take 20-40min to get there with the 40 min having moderate traffic.

The area of town those hotels are in is called summerlin its very upscale.

Nearest food from the field is near all of the three hotels, and only 5 min from the field. there are restraunts. like mimis cafe, PF chang's-chinese, claim jumper and a sushi place, all on the same corner. Fast food isnt far either. as well as a bjs. if you all want to make a short drive there is also Bucca Di peppo. and a few others down lake mead around 6 mi from the field. so really it just comes down to us deciding how much we want to spend and what we want to spend it on. all of those restrants are capable of handling big parties.

for you single freaks out there the fetish and fantasy ball will be in town on 10/25 admission is $60 for early purchase and $80 at the door. this will make on the strip hotels a little bit more expensive.

for the family there are many things like gogarts including one called fast lap where you can pull up to 55 mph on their back straight.

So what i am saying is that this is las vegas and if you look hard enough or ask me you can find somewhere to do just about anything.
