ok so i just checked and xpsl has a socal event the 25th and 26th... so thats one to take into account when choosing.

I talked to the field yesterday and they said they are good with that and they can also order paint for us if we wanted to they order through critical paintball and they are reasonably priced too.

they also said they only need a few weeks notice.

im guessing the field though theres still alot of time and the date well thats still up in the air again there is still alot of time. IDK we can still vote on the field but as it stands there is only one option in las vegas and from what i hear there maybe another field in mesquite and then there is the one in pahrump. im open to opinions as the two currently running fields offer vastly different experiences.

so how bout it a vote pahrump which has a few well thought out rec fields one of which would be big enough for a group of the same size that we had at CPP or summerlin who have rec fields but those need some more thinking but they have a good speedball feild. Also pahrump is in a grassy area and Summerlin is on a baseball diamond.

Date poll closes at the end of the month, ill leave it up to enemy and tracker to figure out what fields are best for what, keep in mind hotel, and restraunt accomidations, and relative distance from the strip, thanks guys

One thing to consider, Pahrump is out side of Las Vegas by about 60 miles west and Mesquite is about 80 north east miles of Las Vegas.

You really should tell the Californians that tiny little fact before you make these kind of suggestions. Most of them have no clue where these places are.

My guess is that they would prefer to be in the greater Las Vegas / Henderson Area. I know that is my preference.

as for fields, this is the deal (still wished i could have waited a week) there are 3 fields in the local vicinity, one is in pahrump, which is an extra 50 miles out of town, another is in the summerlin area, which will place you within convient reach of the suncoast casino
and the other is an indoor field not too far from the strip, and if your looking for woodsball fields, look elsewhere.. i dont really see alot of trees here in town, do you?

here are some of the pro's and con's of said fields, mind you i havent played on any of the local fields (yet) being as how they have just opened up this spring, so im just going off what i know and what ive heard

Pahrump (the one i have played)
Pro's-big, several fields-one airball, one cattle guard, one haybail, one trenches (biggest field), no problems handing a group of our size, friendly staff
Con's-way the hell out of town, FPO, did i mention its a long ways away?

Premier
Pros- built in a city park, lots of parking, easy access, close to off-strip properties BYOP, good sized, 3 fields, 2 are regulation sized airball, last one is a plywood-type field
Con's- have to share the fields with the walk-ons, Speedball only, lots of questions from the agglets

Boneyard
Pro's- indoor, so you dont have to deal with the sun, 2 feilds, one airball, one smaller airball
Con's- FPO, expensive paint, never played an indoor field with good lighting, speedball only

thats just some of the things that need to be discussed

That being said, I agree with rudz....Premier sounds like the best choice. Since most of us will already be driving long distances, for me 550 miles for the SoCal group most likely 200 miles. I know I dont want to drive additional miles if I don't' have to.

no arguement from me there... as for mesquite.. it wasnt open at them time i made that post, secondly, your on drugs if you think i wanna go out there to play, mesquite exists solely because its a watering hole for those passing between las vegas and St george, and i dont know of anyone (in their right mind) who drives to mesquite for anything if they can avoid it,

as novel of an ideal (the field in mesquite) i really dont see it going anywhere but in the tank, its too far away, and gas is expensive enough, and there arent enough people in town to make that place float.. and i dont know too many people that pass through there and think "ya know, while we are here we should all go play paintball"

sorry i reworte that last post of mine and left out the distances, but they had been previously posted multiple times. any how sounds like we are all in favor of the only actual vegas feild. so all that leaves is a date and paint.
