Looking for a team in Northern VA

    Hey,
I am looking for players in Northern VA to start/join a team and play in local tourneyments. I live in Fairfax VA, I moved here 6 months ago from Denver so I don't know much about paintball here. But I have found the local PEVs ;-) I have played rec-ball for several years and spent a year working as a Jack of all Trades at American Paintball Colleseum in Denver, but have yet to play in a tourneyment.
I'm 24 and am an engineer at Boeing. I can practice any weeknight and some weekends (I'm married so I can't devote every weekend).
So if you have a team and are looking for a new guy to try out or if you would like to start up a team post here or PM me.

Cool, hey I don't discriminate age. One of the best bunker players I've ever seen is a 9 year old girl.

You are welcome to play with me, though its not a team yet. Including you there are two players...

Are playing in PEV's big game in a couple weeks? I'd like to get together and talk about the game and see how we play together.

Let me know and thanks for the quick response.

      Otto

          Hey Otto,

I live in VA and just got into the paintball scene a few months ago. I've wanted to try a tourney for a while, but none of my friends are into the game as I am. I've played a couple of times at PEVS but I play mostly outlaw in the woods with my friends, but like I said I want to get into the tourney level. I haven't heard of the big game at PEVS, is there somewhere with more information?

Well I guess I'd be perfect for a front man. I'm pretty short at 5' 3. Also, I'm 23 so I can provide my own transportation

Anyways, hit me up at [email protected] if you want to meet up sometime. Forgot to mention, I'm in Woodbridge (Close to Potomac Mills Mall, Ikea)...

Here's the info on the big game at PEV's:

Hey Pointm@n it would be cool to have you on the team. I'm 6"4, I love to play point and middle, but I'm just to dang tall to hide behind the bunkers.

Let me know if you want play in the big game. Its not a tourney but its an informal way to see how we play. With the 'cane comming tomorrow I probably won't be out to the feild till then.

team unwanted, if you can come up with the money and can get a ride to fairfax I can give you a lift the rest of the way.

yeah, after reading your thread I went to Pevs site and it was on the homepage (silly me...)

Yeah that sounds pretty good. I'll tell my brother about it (he's got a mag too) and he may be interested. Do you know if that event is BYOP? I know Pevs is BYOP, but not sure if the promoters are running it differently. Well, I guess I'll ask when I register.

Oh yeah, here's a heads up about Pevs. If you're planning on buying anything soon, they'll be having a sale starting this saturday. All thier gun accessories will be 15% off, so if you can wait to buy it then you can save some cash. I'm not sure if it'll be on all thier stores, but I definitely know the one in Woodbridge.

Well you have my email if you want to contact me earlier - later.

                ottomobile, pointm@n:
Im 21 goin on 22 in a month or two. Im 5'6" 5'7"ish. I had actually been looking for some older guys that are dependant for quite a while now. I had played with some younger guys that couldnt drive and that was a bit of a pain.
What if we got together and started practicing for one of Pevs 3 mans. I used to play with cavemankevin and Icantbelieveit down in richmond but its such a pain in the butt to drive. I am also in fairfax, 3 miles down the road from GMU to be exact.
Anyways, lemme know, itd be fun to get something started.

                  Hey all,

Yeah I'd be down with that Major Ho. If you all want to meet up at the scenario game at Pevs that'd be a great start. I've got to warn you guys, that I'm probably the least experienced out of the bunch but learn pretty quick. Also I can't really practice on weeknights because thats when i work, weekends i'm totally free. Well, I'm totally hitting Pevs big game this month. Never been to a scenario game so that'll be another first. my email has been posted so if you want to contact me, feel free...

Hahaha, weeknites, yall would have to beat me with a stick to drag me outta my regular routines during the week. 'Sides, nobody practices on weekdays except the big time team guys who have access to the field.
Im thinking I might be at the big game, its loads of fun, but basically all it is, is a giant rec ball game in the woods with ENORMOUS teams. Huge target rich environment to shoot at and pick your target.

Nice dude, I live in Fair Lakes, just down the road. I'd like to get some guys togegther and practice for some of the 3 and 5 mans. Practicing during the week was just a sugesstion. The field I played at in Denver was open for all the local teams to practice during the week. I didn't know if there was another local field around here that maybe was.
I know the big game is BIG and basically rec ball, but with the field closed this weekend its probably the best bet for all of us to get together informally and see what works.

If any of you know of other close fields besides PEV's let me know. Its good to mix things up.

It would be great to have you Major Ho.

I was thinking. If everyone can make it out to the big game, they usually run all day hyperball while the big game is goin on. Just an idea. Otto, thats funny man, your like not 5 minutes from me, Im right at the braddock/FFX co. Pkwy

All day hyperball. Hmm... That sounds tempting. I'll have to think about that one.

                            Hey Everybody
Due to the hurricane I may or may not be in town this week. I won't know till tomorrow, but I'll let you guys know. I'm supposed to go to Norfolk on business but they might not be cleaned up in time...

I'd like to get together for maybe an hour or so next saturday at the Pev's in Fairfax. Since Pointman is in Woodbridge and Team Unwanted is in Manassaas, Fairfax seems like a central location. I figure we can get paint and register for the game and stuff all at the same time. It will also make finding each other at the field a lot easier. Let me know what times work for you guys.

I haven't checked to see if they are having hyperball during the game yet. If they do we should play at least a few games while we are there. There's a 3 man tourney Oct. 19th. I'd like to see if we can get ready for that. If not we should still show up and watch how its done to give us an idea of what to expect for the 3 man in november.

During our meeting saturday we should also get a rough idea of what kind of team we want to have and be thinking about a name.

Here's my contact info if you need to get a hold of me:
