Looking for a team in Northern VA

Major Ho, sounds good to me on the paint. If you decide you don't need it I'll still get it. I made some extra bucks in overtime this week on my trip to Norfolk so I've money to burn! I hope to get a lot of practice in.

I heard there was an indoor place in Baltimore but I haven't checked into it. It'd be really cool if we could find one. The one I worked in Denver was really cool.

Hey, can you guys help me with my X-vlave? I seem to have problems with it. I'm using the middle spring and what I think is the right spacer. If I shoot slow it works fine but the bolt jams if I fire rapidly (dry fire) I'll bring it and my regular EMAG valve saturday. Maybe we can fix it.
Just so you know, I've never used my EMAG. I had a standard feed mag and an autococker but sold those to update the mag and got it right before my wedding. It may take me a couple games to get used to it. I really hope they have my tank ready tomorrow.

Oh, whats your guys' real names? I don't want to walk around PEV's asking for Major Ho and Pointm@n. Especially if I pronounce the @. People will look at me funny

How many shims do you have in there? You may need to add one... I'm not an expert, but bring it into Pevs maybe RobAGD would take a look at it.

Easy enough, Its Ho. Yes like a slutty dirty Ho. :) On occasion Rob and Justin(quickie) will call me Major Ho anyways. If you look on my pevs reciepts, Rob entered my name in as Major Ho.
Rob will definetely look at it and being supertech that he is he'll have it figured out in a jif. I installed a lvl 10 in my retrovalve without a hitch so maybe, just maybe I can figure it out.
I have a friends Xvalve I need to fiddle with tomm anyways so Ill get a nice warmup before I see yours.

Since we ended up not practicing last weekend do you want to get together this weekend to play? I think we should go ahead and play in the upcoming tourney too.

Well we kind of did end up playing Ho, my cousin, brother and I ended up going to PEVS and playing as walk-ons on the afternoon session. Since we called off practice because of impending bad weather and that weather never came we were all geared up to go. I made a couple of phone calls and we met up to play from 2-5pm. I didn't think you would have been able to play since you mentioned house hunting later that afternoon. Too bad they didn't have the speedball fields open that day...

I'm down for playing in the upcoming tourney. I think it's a good way to guage our level of play against other teams. The entrance fee isn't too expensive ($150 a team) so it won't be a huge investment. I think we'll prolly have to buy 3-4 cases to last us for the day depending on how deep we go into the brackets. So per person it may end up being around $150 for the entire event. I've never done a tourney, so I'm sort of guesstimating on the prices/paint. If anyone doesn't want to go in on this one, that's fine there is another one happening in Nov.

As far as playing this weekend, I mentioned playing with some guys at work as walk-ons at PEVS (2-5pm) this saturday. I'm not sure if you want to do this as practice but Ho said he'd be willing to play with us. Let me know if you guys are up to playing at PEVS this weekend. I'm not sure how many people are going to come along either...

Yeah, I was a little miffed. It was raining pretty good when we called it off but the rest of the day turned out great. I was out house hunting till about 6 so I would have missed the afternoon session.
I'm up for the tourney. Nothing like good competition to test the skills. We need to decide if we should play novice or rookie. I think novice is the harder one. I heard one guy say real expirienced players are in this one. Sounds like a challenge to me! What do you guys say?

2-5 on Sat? I'll be there. I have to double check some things but I shouldn't have a problem. I haven't done the afternoon session at PEV's. If it starts at 2 what time do we need to be there for checkin?

battle of the beans

Hey all... sorry to cut in but... I heard about a tourney out at skyline paintball called battle of the beans or something like it. It's a 3 man tourney for $30 a team. I believe Team Rogue is suposed to play. If you read PB2X in the local section, they get their names tossed around in it about every other month.
Just thought I would let you know.
I have to work and can't go. If I could, my neighbor and I would be searching for a third to play.
