Regarding a Michigan AO meet.

It might be worth checking out RJ Performance in Davison. They have a variety of fields and the owner Rick is a cool guy who goes back a long way with 'mags.

If I go, I'll be shooting my tribal. And if a location is ever needed that is more centralized in the state, in Mt. Pleasant there is a fairly new field called PBRevolution, I'm good friends with the owners and it's where I play. Probably not big enough to accomodate a big AO event, it only has a 3 man spool field and a 5 man airball, with more to come this summer I think. But being as it is my home field, I felt obligated to mention it...

why not Killer Paintball when they get up and going this spring? jason and dave are AO members on here and both work at killer's store. just an idea i am sure they could work something out

That is probably one of the best ideas I've heard so far. I went to the Hyperball in Taylor yesterday to see where it was at when they had open play, and I don't thik a big AO event there would work. They run a 5 on 5 game and from what I saw it took a while ot get in and play. Also there's no real good place to secure gear if you want to. I'm on fairly decent terms with the owner at LW and I'm sure I could probably talk him into some sort of deals if we want to go to either of his 2 outdoor fields.

I think we need to stick to the metro-detroit area for this one guys, easy airport access, amenities, stuff to do, and proximity to those of us who are around here and might expect to throw parties...

I think we need to stick to citys in the mid southern part of michigan

that seems to be where it would be most economical for most people here, but metro detroit... if there was an AO meet at a field in Metro Detroit you can count me out.... Screw the traffic there.

MIAO is gonna be held in Metro Detroit. If the west side wants to reprayzent, they best pull one of them cars offa the blocks iner front yards, slap some tires on it, and pack it fulla hick rural-types. :-P

I think we may need to put together an East Meets West confrontation game. Just to settle this. Heh heh. You can captain a team of everyone west of lansing. I get everyone else. Deal? Good.

P.S.- at last word, KillerPB's field WILL be opening in mid-April, and the location will either be the same as last year, or within five minutes' drive of last years'. Definitely a place worth considering. As noted in previous posts, Killer is the only real "mag-friendly" business in the area, and the owners may JUMP at the chance of having a high-profile event there. --Dave

Sorry Fred, I didnt know that until I got there at 2:55... Me and the girlfriend ended up going to Fuddruckers(great food)and then back at 4:30 when they opened the doors.

The times arent posted on the website... But, I did end up checking it out. Sean, the owner, was very cool. The field itself was pretty small, but he informed me that the lot across from the indoor will be turned into an outdoor. That will give us LOTS of room.

As for the prices, 65$ a case... No entry fee, which gives us room to incorporate a dinner price, and free air. The location is EXCELLENT though. Very close access to 75 and I-94, Metro airport can be seen from the road, and there is a hotel every other block on Telegraph.

LOL, spoken like someone who hasn't spent much time here... I've been commuting into the true ghetto (McNichols and Livernois...) for the better part of 5 years now... and am still in one piece... but maybe that's just a testament of my mad skillz behind the wheel...

Hello everyone. This is sean the owner of the taylor indoor ( and soon outdoor) field, Hyper paintball arena. Im dying to get you guys here for a A.O.G meet.I will do pretty much anything I can to pull it off. I already have been purchasing things for a give away and will offer special prices for auto mag owners ( $65.00 for a case of paint and all the air you can shoot sound o.k.?). All I need is a date so I can put it up on the web sight and get the ball rolling.
As far as 4 on 4 goes, we ran 80 plus people through here last week on our 1st B.Y.O.P day. we run 10 on 10 pretty much every day.our Field is 135 feet long and 60 feet wide. We will be adding to the length of it in a few weeks. If you can give me a few months we will have our outdoor field up and running as well. ( yes it is coming and the rumors are true.)

Even if its not organized by people in here Im still going to run a automag event of some kind but,I would really rather do it with the support of this forum.

Anyways as a old school shooter of mags, Im here for your use and I would love to host a michigan event very very much.
