Im gonna try to make it for the Saturday game. This will also be my first scenario game.

What kind of problems were there last time?

What about parking at Jungle Island. I have a hard enough time finding parking on a normal day at Jungle Island....is it really bad during the scenario game?

It just sucked.. the refs.. search for the old thread on it..

Parking wasn't a problem for the first three games I went.. the last one had about 3 times as many people and became a problem. People were parking on the street but you couldn't park on the street or the chp would give you a ticket.. so you took your chances.

OMG, I tried to get 4 different guys to go. I tried to make it a family day, everyone bring their families make a camping trip out of it. I tried to make it guys only. I tried to go one day instead of two. No one will go or can't afford it. I need some new friends.

There were some problems because so many unexpected people showed up who did not pre-register. Based on previous games they expected about 200 walk ons. Something like 300-400 showed up. This bogged down the whole operation, it was completely unexpected. Plans have been put in motion to alleveiate that problem this time around. There is an additional parking lot in the back that JI opens up during scenario games.

If you have any questions when you get there find one of the Caltrop Guerrillas and aske them. I will be there on Sunday reffing.

My two friends couldn't go. I talked to them, and they kept on saying "I dont know..." blah blah, they are real tight on the cash. And I didn't want to pre-reg them if they won't show, GRRRR.

In short, I didn't get to pre-reg, and I wont pre-reg myself because I dont want to go there alone, if none of my cheap *** friends go I wont be going either, this started out looking like it was going to be a blast, and now everyone is jumping ship on me...

The best thing about scenario paintball is that it is a family. That being said, my team will not be playing but a few (including me on Sunday will be reffing). So, hook up with one of the teams. Send me an email and I will hook you up with someone.

Thanks Pickle. Thats a really generous offer, and I may take you up on it if they say no the closer to the date we get... I figure i'll know what's going on 4 or 5 days before the game.

Question: Is it common to see flashlights mounted on your marker for night play? The thought occured to me, since half the fun is going to be at night . Of course, this would be something you only turn on and off at certain times at night, when you know it is safe... heh.

                  Whew, the excitement builds...

                    Jack, you bet.

Flashlights are not common because I don't think most would know how to use one. And the ones that don't who try get lit up. Our team uses them and spotlights very effectively though.

Edit: You can email me through this site or find me on paintball4all.net. Just go to the "Ye Ol tavern" (Forum).

I remember the game before the last one (before bob) someone had a huge spotlight and wherever they shined it everyone around him just shot at that spot. They were really ripping people up it was kinda scary. You can bring one but make sure its powerful.

                        MPP not very organized

MPP is refusing to take the $345 dollar pre reg from 3 of our players because the waivers had to be filled out and sent in first.
Waivers were sent out friday the 11th so i hope they honor the post mark for the pre reg price..

No other promoter runs like this.
When we pre reg fifteen players with paypal at any other event, you fill out waivers when you get there.

Maybe this is one reason so many players wont be going back.

I wish MXS would come out to california and show these yoyos how to run a smooth game.

"Refused" ? Wierd that has never happened. Just send the money and mail in the waivers that you download. Not that difficult really.

Who refused? Who did you talk to?

MXS actually had come out to the Cali for a few events in 2001 and 2002 and it was always a disaster...rain...crappy paint...the field that it was held at was a joke (Mr. Paintball in Escondido, CA) I went to 3 of the events...they were nasty...but it may have to do with MXS knowing nothing about California weather (stupidly setting it up in SoCal's rainy season)...

Gunny fixed it, or atleast he took the money this time.
