Official Numbers Lie
I'm not sure how the "official numbers" were calculated, but anyone watching the parade could see that the Germans were easily outnumbered at least 3 to 1. On the airfield, we were suppossed to have 300 players but only had 15. On the online registration, there was a problem that did not show the airfield as a registration option at all.
The night game that was suppossedly equal in numbers was also a rout. It was very difficult for the Germans to see anything when attacking the base with those bright lights glaring off our googles. It's hard enough to be on the offensive at night, but to add blinding light to the equation made it impossible!
I'm really not complaining because I was on the German (losing) side. This inequality also existed last year, and I was hoping it would be fixed by now. I also heard some Allied players complain that there were not enough "targets." Despite these things I still managed to enjoy myself, but it was mostly for the people and less for the paintball. I doubt I will attend next year. I would much rather put my efforts into an up-and-coming scenario game that is better organized.
