I'm about to throw the level x out the window please help

I have been fooling arounf with this for some time. I had my level 10 working pretty good for awhile, then it started to leak. Well then I moved down a carrier. I started with the 1.5and gold spring then went down to the 1 with the gold spring. Again it functioned fine. Then the other day I wanted to try to put the middle spring in. Didnt work at all no matter how much I turned the velocity up it didnt fire correctly. Chuffs and broken balls. I put shims in then took them out changed oring and carrier sizes. I tried the oring that was working great in the 1 carrier and put it in the 1.5 and like originally with the gold spring it leaks. Back down to the 1.0 and it doesn't leak, but it doesn't even fire no matter what the velocity is set at. So i gave up and went back to the gold spring with the 1.0 carrier and the oring that is borken in. It doesn't leak, but chuffs on the 1st pull still. Then fires fine. Then if you let it sit for a few seconds it chuffs on the 1st pull again. This was killing me while i was playing today. I never got the "first shot" off. It would just chuff then reset the trigger then it would fire. I pretty much tired of this. What do I do now? I have a retro valve and 1200psi coming into my mag. It chuffs with balls or with out. I'm about to send this back to AGD. Its killing me. I have a warp feed and all balls are being chambered correctly.

edit... when it chuffs and it loaded the ball just rolls out the end of the barrel. Its currently shooting at 280 fps

      1. Use lots of lube, and lube before putting your marker away after a day's play.
      2. Find the largest carrier that doesn't leak and use 2 shims.
      3. Be sure you don't over tighten your field strip screw.

Check your Integrated Reg (velocity adjuster part of mag). You could have some debris in there, or not enough lube/grease.

Does your on/off work properly? Hold the trigger down after a pull, THEN listen down the barrel. DO NOT FIRE INTO YOUR EAR!!!

Does it work properly if you quickly release the trigger and then pull it quickly?

The first shot chuffs sound like friction is coming into play after the bolt sits for too long, or a sticky bumper. Use more lube/larger carrier.

        2. The 1.5 carrier leaks and the 1.0 does not. My bolt resets correctly with 0 shims and 2 shims

        3. I did have a problem with it and now I tighten it so its just barely snug

Answer: I believe it does. it has never given me a problem

Answer: If I hold the trigger down I get a very slight leak

Does it work properly if you quickly release the trigger and then pull it quickly?

Answer: Yes it does work if I keep up my rate of fire

The first shot chuffs sound like friction is coming into play after the bolt sits for too long, or a sticky bumper. Use more lube/larger carrier.
Answer: It just might be the bumper. It is soaked in oil. Maybe it is sticking and sort off getting a suction on the bold and the valve body.

I also was playing in 28 degree or so weather, but it does it in my house as well thats in the 60's

Any more help would be appreciated.

Dry that bumper off ( my wifes B2K used to have the same problem because of grease getting up on the face of the ram and causing it to stick) and try to track down that small leak when the trigger is pulled all the way ... most likely that is the smaller of two oring in the on/off top also try different amounts of tension on the trigger frame screw and field strip screw. One last things tune it with no shims ... the shims are in the event the bolt doesnt reset after a chuff. and check out this level 10 install video

I have tuned it with no shims and it resets properly. A leak when you hold the trigger down is the on/off right, but I don't thinl thats the major issue, but I'm going to replace those orings anway.

if it is leaking then you are loosing pressure in your powertube making it hard to overcome the force of the spring when it is fired. You need to fix the leak first, and then tune the lvl 10

You might still have a carrier leak if it will work only during rapid fire, but not when trying the "Proper RT valve chrono technique".

What i found is that my level 10 that i got with my RT was leaking at times, so what you should do is take that o-ring that was working, and since it worked then started leaking it just means that you started using it and it loosened up, so just take that same o-ring and put it in the next size down carrier and it should work, it worked for me, but if you're using the smallest size i don't know what to tell you.

just for kicks, you should try switching back to a Level 7 "foamie" bolt, see how it works for you. I, honestly, have no problem with breaking paint using this set up.

It only leaks a little when the trigger is pulled back. I replaced the bottom power tube oring. I will try to cfheck it today or tomorrow.

It works fine when you quick release. I used the technique to properly chrono it as the field. After the 1st chuff you can quick release it and its fine.

I did do that. The 1.0 carrier seals up great and the 1.5 leaks.

Cool, use the 1.0 then and then adjust your springs to achieve the required velocity. If you experience bolt stick, add more shims.

If you are using very brittle paint, move down a half carrier size and/or use a longer bolt spring.

Be sure to check your sear for cracks and check your rail for twist (lay upside down on a mirror) if you experience strange behavior, especially at varied temperatures.

The carrier was sealing yesterday as well. Its just that 1st pull chuff and apparently a leak when I hold down the trigger. I am going to de-oil the back of my bolt and oring. Also witch on/off oring would cause a leak with the trigger pulled in?

Ps I really appreciate the help.
