    Qloader Dedicated Automag Body

I was playing around with the idea of an Automag version of the Qloader SSI for the A5 and came up with this for the upper half. I havn't finished the grip drawing yet and just wanted to know if there was any interest out there for such a thing? The body would be A5 threaded with external threads for real-steel AR15 handgurds and RIS rail. It would be totally mechanical at this point. I think it may work for more of a milsim/woods ball game.

neat in principle, but I think your gripframe might interfere.

Yes, I thought so too. I think I am going to have to design a custom grip frame that uses a shorter sear rod, or no rod at all, and sets farther back on the body than a normal mag.

I agree the underfeed port needs to be located right about where the trigger is in the grip frame. I don't see how this would work .

Bullpup could work. I am not familiar with the pnuematic triggers but I have a friend who knows about them. I will check with him to see if he has some parts around I can look at. I can thread the barrrels for cocker as well as A5, heck they could be any threads, that's the cool thing about design...its all possible.

Even if you eliminate the rod altogether, you'll have almost no finger space between the trigger and the q-loader. You'll either have to create a custom sear or pneu the trigger.

As I said on MSEP, the top of the butt plate looks a bit high. Perhaps if you were to make the stock in more of an "L" shape like found on many wire stocks, that would allow the user to get the sight rails higher and less interference with a mask [unlike my "sheridan stock" idea that I posted on MSEP]

Have you thought about hiding the air line inside the frame at all?

I really like the concept though.

                            EDIT:

                            Something like this

How about an adjustable stock, so the shooter could move the butt pad up or down depending on their personal preference and ergonomics? Compitition rifle shooters use a 3-way adjustble stock to get the best fit and I may use that idea as well.

Air through stock fittings are possible, maybe with a pro-connect on the stock and macro-line to the valve. I don't know if that would have any advantages over a direct remote hook up to the side of the valve other than having the remote run directly under the shooter not off the side.

I like the idea of the dog-bone or U-shaped stock, but I think the L-shape you suggesteed is better. Are you a lefty? The gun in the picture looks like it is set up for a left-handed shooter.
