If warps are still 200 each you're looking at 600 plus supplise to put it together. (Though if it works it might be worth the $.)

what i was thinking , was you could cut a hole in the bottom of the bag, and have a hopper attached right there. the balls would fall into the loader which would be hooked to a warp. then a hose takes em to the gun. youcould even put the hoop[er in the bag, witha hole for the neck and warp. it would be easy enough

Hate to be really negative, and burst your collective bubbles, but I keep seeing people saying how much this would be the best thing for back players since sliced bread. Do any of you have have any idea how to play backman?? Ask any backman whether he would like ot be tethered to a 20-30 pound sack of paint. Then tell him he has to wear in on his back. Then, ignore his disgusted outbursts and tell him that he has to attach a long tube to his marker. Oh, and he has to add a weight to the side of the marker. And keep the tube from getting shot/kinked/steppped on/rolled over/etc. At this point, there will be NOBODY around to hear hte other merits of your loader system...

Backmen need to be able to tuck into increasing smaller back bunkers (in the NPPL at least) and to rapidly and efficiently be able to move their markers around to shoot at players. This idea hinders both requirements, and to top it off, it's going to be HEAVY.

Maybe it is me, but I do not see this catching on in the tourney crowd.

As for the woods: Have you ever used a remote and caught yourself on a tree branch/bush? I did it twice in one day. This thing would have the same problem, except multiplied by a whole ton.

I can see the hose as a problem, but as for the paint in a backpack, I believe it would exert the same gravital force as it would in pods strapped to your back. I like mine because I don't have to reload and I can carry more in a single container on my back than I can in pods. I should also mention I'm not as intense as some players, not much for diving. P.S. dont give up on banana dancing, it's all in the ankles.

it would be awsome if it works but i still think the hose will be a problem because it could get kinked when you are moving around

The problem I foresee is not the hose, kinkless is a piece of cake. The problem is the price. I'm in the process of building my second one and so far it's cost me close to $300. (Those damn $100 dollar military screwdrivers.)

cool design. I had a similar idea a while back. At Academy Sports they sell these huge 6 gallon buckets filled w/ 4000 paintballs for 70 bucks and i got one. The paint really sucks, but what if you took that bucket, put some straps on it. and a funnel on the bottom w/ big revvy like paddles on the sides of the funnel and then use either a warp w/ a stronger motor or the corkscrew tube going to the gun. What brought this about is if you stick a toothpick in between the trigger and sear of a tippmann carbine it'll go full auto but it too fast for anything like a regular hopper. Not much to gain in speedball because it would be ungodly heavy and you would be like a big slow turtle. but if you mount it on a go kart it would be a super mega paint-flinger of doom!

Well... it just so happens that I have two perfectly working warps laying around and a converted ar-15 with R.I.S. into a mag... If I find the time for this, I will try to make it sometime this winter... if you want to show me your plans I'm sure they would help a great deal! Thanks!

                          hi there...

just been to a big game here in the UK, and a guy called Dangerous Brian (a cocker guy) was running a backpack with 4 warps - mainly because he was running 2 ebladed cockers - but it seems to be 2 warps per gun....

though his kit was so heavy he had to use a sling (cockers aren't the lightest things!) but the fire from 2 markers was insane

I know a guy posted something that seemed like a q-loader with a dual tube system but why not just make a variation of the q-loader only on a larger scale with easy top loading? This would eliminate much cost and probably some of the weight. The hard part would be spring tension adjustments.

Hey Undescriptive, Glad to find another brit here let alone one who played at that same game on Sunday!!

Dangerous Brian plays for the same team as me so here's the insider info; he made the back pack loader for scenario games, it is a 3-4000 round container with two eggs at the bottom to feed via two hoses to two warp feeds directly mounted onto the feed tubes of left and right hand feed raced cockers.

Both cockers were mounted upside down with a bar accross them both to make a front grip, Brian fires this twin gun the same way as he fires his tourney marker - by stroking up and down the trigger. He could not make a conventional single rear grip

He had to make the gun with two grip frames and thus two triggers, due to the law over here of one shot per trigger pull to keep the gun legal (in effect he was carrying two guns! )

He was slowed a little by the added weight but not so as you'd know if he was facing you as you really didn't get much chance to shoot back through the stream of 40 balls a second comming at you.

The gun was fired from the hip so that he could use the eggs instead of two more warps,
but we do think it would work with a warp in the pack so that a marker can be fired from the shoulder.

To anyone attempting to make something like this we would suggest putting a baffle into the pack just above the primary feed hopper so that it doesnt have to contend with the weight of 3000+ paintballs above it.
