Dawg I like your way of thinking. So keep trying stuff. What do you think would happen if you had a bolt that released the air pressure from the bottom .Most bolts I see have a even # of holes releasing air evenly to the ball.Know I dont know but maybe you could try creating a bolt at you machine shop that releases the air on the bottom portion of the bolt hopfully putting back spin on the ball.I will make a quick pic and post it so you know what im talking about.

Yes, that would work. There was actually a company that made a bolt just like that for Angels. I saw it in APG. They also made skull pullpins for Cockers. I like your idea. That would create a greater pressure underneath of the ball making it spin backward. They made it for Angels but they need to make one for the MAG!! I could try to make one but I don't have any stainless steel like the bolt in a mag. I will look in to it though.(Hmmm, a new project to work on .....).Nice idea NightStalker, I LIKE IT.

Perhaps I can find someone selling a really cheap bolt. I could drill the front out of it. I could then drill a piece of alluminum or ss out the same diameter. I could drill three holes in it like you picture then thread it. I could then thread the inside of the bolt that would be drilled out and screw the new bolt face in. It could work.

yeah that may work seems a little compicated but everyone got all exited about 2 piece barrels maybe they will freak out with a 2 peice bolt.

Really not that complicated but that is the only other way I can think without machining a new bolt which I could do, but it would take me forever. Yeah, people would go nuts over a two piece bolt. There could even be new faces to screw in your bolt to give it that "custom" feel. LOL. I better patent this before Smart Parts find out. JK, I like SP.

seriously thats not a bad idea.just the fact that people can have accesorys for there bolt would probably sell.I dont mind spart parts either there in the business to make money if I had a idea I wouldnt want everyone and there mother using it.but that probably belongs on a different thread.

The air coming out of the bottom of the boltcan be done with plummers putty and a venturi bolt.......just plug the holes you dont want having air come out.......

its something i did awhile back.......

This worked? It created backspin? No puddy came out when you shot? Interesting

I had taken the venturi head out of my bolt (was using a piranha), and plugged it from the inside, so air pressure would only push it harder into the venturi......

I used it with my barrel with the detent in the top.
It sorta worked, except the barrel was small bore........so it broke 1/10 of the balls shot through........about 60-80 percent of the rest flew like they came out of a flatline.

I think a better way to do this would be with porting.
I normally used a JJ ceramic with my piranha, and noticed if the barrel was against a tree, the paint would fly the other direction.
So have a barrel with porting only on the bottom........and alot at that

I am 95% sure that the undertow bolts don't work and are a waste of money. That's why they never caught on.
With the rubber detent thing, that's how the Z-Body works. The detent is in the breech and it uses extra large bore barrels.

Oh, wondered how the Z-body work. Thanks. I will experiment with the detent thing instead of the bolt then sice the Undertow ones don't work. Thanks for the info.
