I'm keeping my 06 borg. won't be buying a bnib gun for a looooong time, unless it's something cheap like a spyder.Originally posted by BigEvilGuys im curious. Anyone out there planning on purchasing a brand new gun in the next year? It seems that there are alot of people (Myself included) that are forgoing shelling out the big bucks and waiting until either new models come out to cause the prices on the old ones to drop, or are just buying used?
Case in point: 06 MacDev Cyborg last year new = $800-$900. Today you can still buy them brand new for $650 or used for $500ish. Meanwhile, 07's go for in the $1100 range. The 07 costs almost double the old one with very little differences other than cosmetic. (Certainly not enough to warrant paying an additional $500+ for it anyhow)
Marker companies are releasing new models every calendar year just like the car companies do. Is this smart for business in the long term?
So, are you going to buy a new marker and why?Comment

Having never shot an A1 or anything from AKA, I can't really say. That being said though, I love my G7, although with my current trigger setting it is a little bouncy. Metric doesn't bother me though.Comment

Aw damnit, it's ruined for me now lol. How did it feel cheesy? It's all metal, it seems like it has no kick, seems to shoot pretty smooth, etc. Too lightweight for your taste maybe? I mean, there haven't been too many quality control complaints about Fusions, I can't understand why they would make the Threshy cheaper.Originally posted by rkjunior303they felt cheesy. they shot ok, i guess, but it definitely felt like a 'cheap' alternative.Comment

lol the last NIB gun i bought was a cocker...5 years agoOriginally posted by kenndoggUsed can be a headache if your not willing to shop around and just try to pick up cheap deals that seems too good of a deal. I guess thats the downside of buying used.
The last BNIB purchase I made was on an Alias back when they cost $1100.00. What's the resale on them now? $350? lol.Comment

I know the thresholds are supposed to be pretty light, perhaps thats what it is? All the reviews I have read on it have been good so far. I havnt heard to many complaints yet. Actually the only one I have heard (and it will be changed in future manuals) is that the recomended dow 55 is swelling the bolt orings to much causing bolt stick. I am not sure what lube they are recomending now though. There is no point in relubing it from the factory anyway or before/after playing, my fusion gets relubed once every 6 months if its lucky.Originally posted by warbeak2099Aw damnit, it's ruined for me now lol. new models
There arent many new model guns I would purchase just because of cost vs performace, but i way prefer buying BNIB if at all possible. I still buy used but i'm very selective. 150-200 bucks for a nice autococker is well worth the money, and if you want the newer tech stuff then grab a PMR for $300. These are some of the few markers I would buy new. Thats mostly because im cheap though, I never had a flashy car either.Comment
