It started off as Ricochet Rabbit, because of an uncanny bounce effect I have on paintballs, and I have a tendency to 'rabbit', which is run like all get out then slide into the closest cover to avoid being found/shot.
Over the years it got shortened to simply Rabbit. Unfortunately it is a very popular screenie, so I can't use it everywhere. And I can't stand seeing Ricochet mistyped (OCD)Comment

Wow, I remember dialing into The Necropolis with our speedy 2400 baud modem. I spent most of my time at Woody's Nest, though, playing SRE and BRE.Originally posted by StygShoreBack in High School ( like 1988ish ) I helped a couple guys with a Local BBS called The Necropolis

Of course, back then "usernames" were more often called "handles". Ahh, memories.
My handle came from my MOS. 91F - Psychiatric Specialist, which has been gone for a while now.Comment

Huh, see, I always thought your name was just an alternate spelling of John, pronounced Jah-ahn. Run 'em together like us Massachusetts folk do and it's pretty much the same as John. Hah!Originally posted by JaanI used to date a really sweet and very pretty girl from India and this is the nickname she gave me. It means life but is roughly akin to calling someone beloved.
Anyway, my nick is about 8-9 years old, one of my teachers referred to me as "the Pixel Guru" since I was always making stuff in Photoshop. I registered it and it kinda stuck. I've found a couple nicks I like a little more, but the nick's never mattered much to me and I just keep it for consistancy.Comment

When I was about 12 I decided I wanted to be a pimp when I grew up.
I wanted a name that meant something as a pimp.
To get the high class hoes you would have to be smooth.
And to keep them inline you would have to be cold like ice with the back hands.
So smoothice was born.
My back up pimp nickname is silky smooth. It just has a nice ring to it.Comment
